How am I supposed to use the Market Wards in Gridania or Limsa Lominsa?

So, I noticed that there are markets in all 3 cities, not just Ul'Dah.

If I go to buy something in Gridania.... knowing that most of the items are in Ul'Dah because I heard that from my Linkshell, how do I know I'm not getting ripped off?

If I go to sell something in Gridania.. how do I know what price to use? How do I know my price isn't way too high or too low compared to what everybody expects in Ul'Dah?

If I want to shop for gear.. why would I go to Gridania or Limsa Lominsa knowing that I could only find one or two pieces of gear, and maybe not even at my level? It would be a waste of time to go have to go to Ul'Dah second just to pick up the other pieces.

Why would I shop in Gridania or Limsa Lominsa when I can't see a list of all the gear available to me there? The markets only show what gear has been listed there, not all the possible choices. So how do I know if I see a piece of equipment in Gridania or Limsa Lominsa if it's the closest thing to my level or not when I can't see what else there is?

Why would I sell items in Gridania or Limsa Lominsa when I know they will sell a lot slower than in Ul'Dah? My retainers are both 150/150 so I can't afford to sell slow.

Just remember, if you're selling something in LL or Grid, you're basically the ONLY source for that product. It's easier to see while browsing, and if the price is right, people will buy it. I like to think of using an "Out of Ul" discount of 15% when I'll eventually sell things.

I have a retainer in LL and one in gridania. I sell out just fine, but at about 1/2 the pace of Uldah, maybe slightly less. BUT, I don't have any hassles there. I also have had a tendancy since day 1 to spend more time in gridania then in Uldah. I also manage my wares. I know the carpentry guild is in Grid, and since I am leveling BTN, I sell my wood items in Grid.

I don't think the game is nearly as well put together as it might seem. Seriously... the amount of interface and game lag I get in the crowded streets of Ul'dah is insane. I just don't go there now.

I'll move to LL and shop in those wards. Support migration of trade!

Honestly,the fact that alot of things were not done a long time ago, or at launch for that matter, are surprising.
