None. I tried it once, but I hated the fact that one character would always be behind the other, essentially juggling the statuses of alt and main.
I already have enough to worry about with gearing my main, doing the story, leveling my DoH and DoL (I like being self-sufficient, even if it's not required).
So....yeah. One job and one character. I'll pour all my efforts into that.

None. I don't have any interest in redoing things on another character.

I have zero.
Since:
1) I'm already the best race. So I have no urge to make a new character to be another one.
2) I can already play all jobs and all crafters and gatherers. So I don't need an alt to fill in a gap.
3) Trading between characters is no bueno. So I don't have incentive to make alts to serve as bank characters (As much as it would help my overflowing retainers, chocobo saddlebag and inventory...)
4) I've already seen all the story. If I suffer a severe head injury and somehow forget it, I can go and revisit the cutscenes in the inn, if not use the NG+ feature.
I have 5 Alts beside my main character
I was 2 of them rarely.
1 is on a different data center and the other is just when I feel like logging on and acting like a total noobs.
Commendations.
If I play dps I only give it out to other dps.
If I play tank I only give it out to healers.
If I play healer I only give it out to tank.
Only if they should be getting a commendation.
There are always exceptions to the rules!
I have just one since I wanted to have a Viera but I like how my Miqo'te looks too much to fantasia. (hat/hair restrictions also were a factor)

I've got 5 alts at various points in the story, and a couple with no progress to poke around on other servers.
I original made them to re-experience the story before New Game + was a thing and to see all three starting city stories. Now they're just for when I feel like being a different race or gender.
Eva is my only endgame character as I don't want to try keep up with the weekly grinds on multiple characters.
Three- One is about to get into SHB, one is level 32 and needs to do Haukke Manor, and one I've yet to do anything with.

I have six alts at various stages in the game; I'd like to get most of them to endgame eventually, partly to replay the story and partly for glamour purposes. (Mostly different races but I ended up with three Seeker Miqo'te out of lore-concepting.)
I don't like the idea of Fantasias and transforming my character into something else. I don't roleplay but I do have specific concepts for all my characters -they're individual people with their own names and personalities. Even if Fantasia included a free name change, so I could theoretically switch characters on a single account, I'd have to completely redo all my glamour plates if I turned a character into a different one. All of them have their own full set of glamour plates and they don't wear the same things.
In any case, I switch between using them far too often to want to pay for it every time.
None. The game isn't particularly friendly to alts and I always end up feeling as though I'm missing out on things - such as as hunts or tomes - if I'm logged in as anything other than my main character.
Back when I played WoW, I had multiple different characters. It helped that WoW also had distinct racial lore and different starting zones for each playable race. You were also stuck with your class choice on any given character and could never change it. A limitation that doesn't exist in FFXIV...but does contribute to making alts irrelevant.
