How many alts do you have?

I don't see the point in having alts when I can play all classes on a single character. Plus it costs more per month to be able to have alts.

It only costs more if you want multiple alts on a single world, or more than eight in total. That's how many you can have on an entry-level subscription.

You don't pay for alts. I have waaay too many, so I should know.
(EDIT: That information goes for standard account.)

Also, rerolls are a solid alternative to save money if you need more than 2 retainers but don't want to buy any extra ones.

No reason for alts. If I want another race, I'll just buy a fantasia and change. Plus, trying to level a new character without the MSQ would be a major pain.

You wouldn't have to level without the MSQ, though? If you start another character, you're starting over from the beginning of the game. Their progression isn't linked.

Ok, I had it mixed up with leveling a new job on the same character..

I have 5, my main at endgame. Two in stormblood, one in HW, and one near HW. I just really like to play as other races, but my main has a specific character so fantasias feel very wrong, like if I drank Polyjuice potion. So instead I make alts.

I'm also, not a fan of fantasia. I made my character how I like her and I do want to play other races or have the same race with a different look. I also don't like being every class on one character. I don't mind 2 or 3 classes to be reminiscent of the old job system but, being able to do everything just feels wrong.

Plus I already have my bags full of stuff. Being other classes all at once and having to carry all that gear to swap makes me have even less room in my bags XD.

I have two alts, for a total of three characters all at the endgame. Saves me from being a fantasia addict.

Right now my "alt" is 3 ilvl higher than my "main" so I think it's fair to say I have two mains. Technically the one I consider my WoL is my main but I play them both equally.

Otherwise I have I think 9 other characters, but only maybe 3 I'd consider alts that I plan to spend time on?

Right now everyone is just level 15+ to soak up holiday glamour so if I do decide to play them I won't be paying $100/ea on glam in the Mog Station for things that should be account-wide.
