How many alts do you have?

I have 5. 2 in shadowbringers 1 lvl 50 on the way to stormbringers and 2 I just recently made fresh arr level 15 and 7, I think. Gonna buy a story skip for those 2. Idk if I will buy stormblood skip or shadowbringers skip. Stormblood is fun and the patch content isn't that long so I might cheap out and do that.

^ pretty much this. When you can do everything on one character, and the ARR storyline is as tedious as it is, I have little motivation to level up others.

1. I have my Viera which I created the last but with whom I'm the farthest (5.2 MSQ dungeon). My first character started as a "uncoordinated" one with all ARR jobs @50, but once I got past my inital "mental" issues, she focuses now on 3 combat jobs and about to enter into ShB content. As I'm a story-only trash-level player, I will have no definite main chara and will play one depending on which I prefer at that point in time.

I enjoyed ARR more than heavensward but thanks for your opinion. I have alts but I don't spend much time on them. I could never spend the time getting certain achievements on another character so don't see much point in spending a lot of time on them.

I do wish achievements, unlocks, and msq were shared account wide. Having to repeat content sucks. I understand the game isn't built for people like me who love alts and backstories. But, you have to expect people like me will come around and want to play the game a different way.

Not to be that guy and draw comparisons to WoW but, you're not punished in WoW for only ever playing one character. You're only punished in WoW because you are playing WoW. XD I'm kidding.

Just because the community expects you to do it there way doesn't mean you have to. Which is why I am playing my way despite it being harder/more expensive in the long run. I have faith one day I'll be able to be a proud FFXIV alt-a-holic.

Kris Malmstrom - All 60s. I played in Heavensward until I needed a break for a while and when I came back I had a friend that wanted to get into it in Stormblood, so I made a new character...

Furious Dream (1) - All 70s, played with friend until they stopped playing, took a break for a while, came back and made a new character to re-learn the game...

Furious Dream (2) - All 80s, play her the most now, but...

Silent Thunder - GNB / AST / MNK 80 because there is a guy at work that plays on a different server, so I made Silent to play with him. And haven't at all because I have stupid social issues.

I would probably make another one for.... reasons? idk
