Allow Disciples of War/Magic to wear Disciples of Hand/Land gear

I see no reason why we can't glamour DoH/L gear onto battle classes. Will literally super expand the list of possible outfits you're able to make.

Of note, Minefield's Work Shirt is possibly the best looking Machinist top that we're unable to use.

    Please SE.

You can. For ARR (and maybe HW?) DoH/L gear. There's a reason they changed it. because in order to glamour the item, you have to be able to equip the item. And nobody wants to run dungeons with tanks in crafting gear. Yes, things like that happened back when it was possible.

While we do know the hows and whys I still support opening up glamour for all except for artifact pieces.

No, keep the appearance theme of gatherers and crafters separate from battle classes.

The gear-piece in question here would be artifact gear (or the equivalent of artifact gear for gatheres).

As someone who has some old gathering gear glamoured on their tank I would welcome us getting that back under the condition that there are means taken to prevent wearing it in dungeons - I've seen enough people spiritbonding crafting accessories in LotA (when it was current content and not the complete faceroll it is today) to not want that back. Either block spiritbonding on those pieces, not make them count towards ilvl at all or just give us ilvl1 "replicaes" of the sets for glamour purposes alone.

Well that's because there is no good reason to have any restriction on glamour for any piece of gear in this entire game that you can wear on any job you have levelled up- the exact system they used in FF11 to fanfare at the time.

Why they haven't implemented it now, or why people on this very forum will fight tooth and nail to have less creative options, are questions the devs haven't addressed in the last four years, but you'll probably get a bunch of responses about 'job identity' or 'immersion' or something about spaghetti code that the devs literally can't change the bit where in order to glamour something you MUST be able to wear it so you'd get people wearing gathering sets in dungeons and also not be able to simply kick them.

It'd be nice if we had a glamour system that's only five years out of date instead of fifteen, is all.

Relic gear aside, it's much too late for that.

All gear up to Lv59 is unrestricted and can be glamoured onto any class.

Even if it was restricted, ARR gatherer gear often shares models with Disciple of War gear.

The Lv51 sets share models with dragoon/monk/samurai gear from the Lv50 dungeons.

Lv60+ leveling gear recycles glamour outfits like the Wind Silk and Thavnairian sets.

And the Lv77 Nabaath dungeon gear is entirely crafter/gatherer gear recycled as battle gear.

There's also a strong precedent for machinist NPCs to wear gathering gear: the Skysteel machinists use ARR doublets, Mide from the Alexander quests wears the Forager's shirt and Hilda wears... to be exact, the dragoon jacket that shares a model with the gathering gear, but still that pattern essentially, and Adept's Boots which are crafter gear (but also one of the better all-class long boots you can get).

In short, while there are still some restricted items, as a broad concept there's no "separate" to be kept.

Good point, I didn't think about the recycled gear sets.
