Outta interest without any discussion I want to know how people would like to see the game balanced in their opinions RDPS wise. I want to see placements at percentiles or skill levels. I dont want any "#### should be stronger because of ### utility" etc. none of that. just place the classes in a general line.

SO I STRESS: no discussion or analysis please

Just post how you would line things up and distribute dmg in like fashion. I want to see what others think. Ignore fight specifics. Just tell me general vacuum placement, and of course hitting these marks perfectly is impossible, this is an exercise in opinion and dmg spread.

For me biggest gap should be 5% if things were perfect from top to bottom of the list.

1. BLM worst 10th percentile, Best 75th percentile up.
2. Followed by DRG, SAM, NIN
3. NIN best at 90th percentile (still behind BLM) Worst of melee when sub 25th percentile.
4. DRG best at 75th percentile up. 2nd worst of melee when sub 25th percentile
5. SAM best melee till 75th percentile.
6. MNK better than DRG and NIN at lower percentiles but falls off to be worst at max.
7. SMN and RDM BARELY behind the average melee across all percentiles
8. BRD, DNC, MCH all very similar RDPS barely behind Rez casters.

in a perfect world, top to bottom 5% difference max, with the lower jobs actually taking over the first places as you go deeper on the percentile scale.

Going by your list I THINK you actually meant to say aDPS not rDPS.

Because the list should probably be reversed if that's what you were talking about.

So I think you meant to say aDPS.

rDPS is where they should all come out the same since that accounts for buffs granting DPS to other players.

Its the aDPS that would be different and have a decending order.
