    Unable to download patch [11003][20403]

    Hello,

    I am attempting to install the game for the first time on a laptop I'm borrowing for a trip this week. I'm getting the error code listed in the title. There is unfortunately very little information online in regards to this specific error code, and what I have found has not worked. I have tried doing a registry edit on Shell Folders and User Shell Folders, running as administrator, and turning off anti-virus software, with all possible combinations of those things to no avail. The registry edit suggestion (which I found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...8_file_access/ ) did however change which errors codes I received to [11003][19901][2]... But I have since changed the registry back to default because I could not find a solution for those error codes either. I have the Steam version of the game, if that's pertinent.

    Any help would be appreciated. I would love to be able to play over the weekend on this trip. Thanks,

    Solved

    After further playing around, I determined the issue was related to the default path for the Documents folder being on a network drive which was disconnected. I went into Documents, right clicked on the folder, click on properties, clicked on the location tab, and selected "Restore Default". Followed the prompts (choosing not to move the files from the offline network folder), and retried launching the game, and it worked for me. Just in case any else has this issue in the future.
