Redo catch % for old "big fish."

Today while fishing at a level 50 big fish hole, "the fish gets away" occurred eight times in a row one time frame and six another time. As I write this, I'm doing it again and have lost the last three... I get why you have a system like that in place but at the same time, that's a bit ridiculous as a level 80 with level 80 gear (2 star at that).

Every 'Big Fish' has some minor challenge attached to it. Otherwise it'd be just like any regualr boring fish. The gimmick of The Matriarch (I assume you talk about it because it's infamous) is being very slippery, resulting in a low catch rates. And it's not even in Top 10 of the hardest fish to catch. Keep it like this, Big Fishing was designed for patient fishers and is supposed to be very time consuming.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: Big Fishing is the ONE TRUE ENDGAME. Do not be fooled by your Ex content, your Savage content, or anything else. You cannot unsync the ONE TRUE ENDGAME.

Oh you cleared savage? That's casual content. Have you ever catched a hq fish to mooch another hq fish to mooch for a rare hq fish to catch an even rarer hq fish that has a low success rate to catch? Which has to be exactly caught in the right weather and the right time?

That's the point of big fishing though. If you don't enjoy outlasting all the different difficulties that the big fish bring to the table I'd suggest something like instanced content where you can overcome it with gear and practice. Big fishing isn't that. You can optimize your gear and levels and learn fish patterns but at the end of the day the fish don't care about your achievements.

Big fishing is about perseverance, so it would be disappointing to see it made easier just for the sake of being easier - it's not the point.
Fortunately, for players who don't enjoy that kind of gameplay there's nothing being gated by it so they can freely skip this content.

Big fish have enough bullcrap time/weather/hookrate conditions involved with getting them to still make it time-consuming that we shouldn't also be dealing with lost catches for stuff 2-3 expansions old.
