My personal headcanon is based off Greek Mythology [Studied it in college, always loved it and the stories] that the WoL is loosely based off of either Prometheus [Titan who stole fire from the gods and gave it to humans] or Perseus [The founder of the Perseid Dynasty and Slayer of Monsters / Precursor to Heracles] Though...now that I think about it more, after the whole Emet thing, we'd -kinda- line up with Persephone more so than the other two [The whole death / rebirth of nature stuff]

My headcanon is that we are able to learn so many different jobs (be it for fighting or gathering/crafting) because we already had 8 parts of our whole souls back (now nine). While Ardbert and his group seemingly always stayed with their chosen jobs which is because people from shards have it not that easy because they are just 1/14th.

For the longest time, I thought Raubahn and Nanamo were lovers. And Pipin was their love child

    I also personally think that
    1. Some Auri can breath fire or some other element. After all they are unconfirmed part dragons- they share their super tough skin and scales (lore book confirms this is why their dress symbolises such), plus Auri physiology is extreme even for humanlike races, sui-no-sato auri can breath for 12 hours underwater on average, Xaela are perhaps the physically strongest race and some au ra have spacial sense that can beat a garlean's third eye with their horns

In addition, there were some especially draconic au ra years ago in north eorzea and the ishgardians wiped them out. Evidence includes Urth was an Auri warrior, Sidurgu's tribe was wiped out being mistaken for their spawn, witchdrop includes a condition "in case the accused sprouts wings" which given how heretics change all at once through aether must mean a half step change was once possible like Nael in the coils.
The dragoon player is a descendant of one of these Auri, hence nidhogg's eye responding and the player having a dragon part of their soul.

Lastly, Au ra don't have any set life span, in addition to being draconic, they are also like the viera in that they are young looking for most of their lives.

    2. Lalafells are grown like shrubs, depending on which clan depends on where they are planted. Their ears are actually leaves, and one interpretation of the fishmonger in the fish guide supports that they are common faire amongst fishermen and sharks

    3. Hien secretly wants to run off with Yugiri and Cirina but knows the moment he does, the player and gosetsu will find him

    4. Tataru lost the paperwork that identifies the player years ago, and given the scions know the player has been through so much shit, when they fantasia they just don't care finding out if this new person claiming to be their godslayer is the real deal as they can kick just as much ass, or if they don't and get killed well that's what this idiot get for trying to impersonate them.

    5. The warrior never attacks the ascians etc when others are present even when they should because their crossfire is apparently REALLY destructive (looking at the vault for a good example, apparently it was a wrec after the player went through)

    6. The disciples of Hand and land are the most powerful jobs. Godbert, Julyan, the Bazooka and Fishers can all utterly wreck normal monsters. Its just not fun though.

    7. Graha Tia is fine kicking the bucket because he knows the player or Lyna will swiftcast raise on him or at least use a phonix down.

    8. The WOL tries every discipline as they are sure one of them holds the key to making larger inventories and armoury chests and they are wanting to sell those in retirement

    9. Alexander couldn't read the WOL future because he couldn't see past the interdimensional rift.

    10. Bunny boys have been seen. They just look like bunny girls.

    11. The was once a musketeer's guild that was shut down by merwlyb because the only thing worse than drunk yellowjackets with axes is drunk yellowjackets with gunaxes

The Spoken races descended from the Ancients, but were altered by aetheric corruption during the events leading up to the Sundering, causing them to evolve into the current variety of peoples. Hyur and Garleans, specifically, were originally from Amaurot, which was the least affected (hence part of it still standing on the First), which is why they're the closest to the original form, and why most Ascians prefer to use them as hosts.

Miqo’te, Auri, Viera, and Hrothgars all actually have claws but most keep them filed down so they’re easier to work with (or possibly avoid stigma by more “human”-like races). But some still like to leave them as is and even further enhance them like some Xaela on the Steppes.

I've been nursing a theory that the number of Chakra Gates associated with Monks (and everybody in general) is a correlation to the Sundering of the Source. Fourteen Gates = a Gate for each Shard, plus the Source. By unlocking them, someone takes a step closer to achieving a pre-Sundering physical state in regards to aetheric capacity and unmitigated access to it.

The 1.0 Echo ability that allowed player characters to interact with the past and change the memory of those who they met (but not drastically alter it) has been translated to the ability to perform sidequest content out of the intended story order, except this time the changes are real and tangible instead of imaginary, which is why the result of the changes can be seen in your own memory (The Unending Journey quest progress dialogue) as well.

I could go on for hours about mine...

tl;dr: On his way to the First, Archie got lost and wound up on AU Draenor from WoW. He helped the Army of the Light defeat what was left of the Mag'har Orcs (who were themselves led by my Undead Warlock) and inadvertently caused a Flood of Light to destroy AU Draenor entirely. Archie and the Warlock both escape to Azeroth through a mage portal. Archie can't figure out how to get to the First from Azeroth and winds up making a deal with the Warlock, who's on a quest to rescue the souls of his raid team from Gorak Tul. They succeed with the help of my Sunsinger/Dawnblade Warlock from Destiny and a really ludicrously overpowered Pikachu (my main on my original Blue Rescue Team file). The Guardian's Ghost is able to figure out a way to get Archie back on track to the First, and so he heads that way, bringing a crystal of Darkness given to him by the Undead Warlock, and that's when Shadowbringers happens.

Following the events of Shadowbringers, Archie returns to the Source and heads to the Rising Stones expecting a hero's welcome, only for Tataru to run up and punch him in the face and go into a full-on mental breakdown. Prior to leaving for the First, Archie hooked up with Y'hmitra (Y'shtola's sister and the Summoner job trainer, for those who haven't leveled Summoner), and he came home to a litter of catgirls and a very broke and very stressed "Auntie" Tataru.

Eventually, there's another huge battle between the Eorzean Alliance and the Garleans, led by Zenos. Archie shows up and fights Zenos, fight ends in a stalemate. Zenos deploys a Black Rose ripoff, Archie's Blessing of Light protects him and the important NPCs near him, but all the grunts die. They're now hopelessly outnumbered, so Archie summons my Undead Warlock using that crystal of darkness he still has with him. My Warlock was conveniently harvesting Scourge souls in the meantime (for a completely unrelated side project) and decides to deploy them into all the corpses laying around everywhere. Of course, everyone in this universe is used to Hildibrand-style zombies, so none of the Garleans have any idea how to deal with psycho bloodthirsty zombies, and that's what evens the odds. My Warlock drops an Infernal one rock at a time (his preferred way of doing that) and Zenos smashes every rock to bits one at a time, only for all the rubble to coalesce into an army of miniature Infernals and overrun the Garlean officers' camp along with the rest of the zombies. They ultimately defeat Zenos with Zerg-rush-style tactics; despite having the Echo and a lot of legitimate combat prowess, he simply can't keep up with everything at once and an NPC (either Estinien or Gaius) eventually tries to steal the kill, only to wind up being a distraction as Archie himself deals the finishing blow. My Warlock uses Soulstone trickery to secure and destroy Zenos' soul and then returns to Azeroth, having repaid Archie for helping him with Gorak Tul.

I always figured the Hildebrand stuff is just the WoL having a weird dream and that Hildebrand is a legit person but don't actually do detective work. Case in point, Godbert is shown in one instances in a side quest, completely straight faced and acting 'normal'. Hildebrand and Nashu are seen in the background of another sidequest, running around but nothing crazy happening.
