The reason Lalafell children look just like adults, is that after infancy, they grow much quicker than other races of man, not unlike squabs that fledge quickly.

Samurai as a social class / caste with the privilege to bear arms is Hingan in origin, but long before that, Yanxia had "wandering swordsmen" that drift between places, striking down injustice whenever they went. Of those, Tenzen was the most famous given his command of the Echo, but there are many others. A character who is not the Warrior of Light may have learned Far Eastern swordsmanship from one of those swordsmen.

I also wanted to justify the amount of male Miqo'te players by saying something happened 20+ years ago that messed up the previous gender imbalance, leading to many male Miqo'te, now adult, not accepted by the existing social structure, striking out to become adventurers. However, the battle at Silvertear was only 15 years ago, so using that as the event may be a large stretch of existing lore.

Even more of my personal headcanon!

1 - All versions of the annual events (Like the rising, the midsummer, etc...) happen within the same year and on their respective dates. For example, this year of the rising and all the previous happen at different times of the day (or happen within the same set of days these events are celebrated) which is why people didn't age and why it's still "Five years after the calamity".

2 - Time travel is linear. You see, in order for the 8th umbral calamity's Ironworks to send G'raha and the crystal tower back in time to a period before the 8th calamity and also send him to the first. The ironworks had to combine Alexander (Time-travel) and Omega (Rift-hopping) technology and powers they managed to study and recreate. However, as a side effect of having rift-hopping with time traveling, G'raha and the crystal tower were sent to an alternative timeline that didn't have the 8th umbral calamity happening in it and that's why he's still with us today.

3 - The MSQ in patches, normal raids, and alliance raids happen without major breaks in between. So for example, you can't convince me you're fighting the empire for a second, then teleporting to an inter-dimension arena to fight beings from folklore, and then in the next minute, you're exploring the ruins of Ivalice. However, you can tell me that you fought in an inter-dimension arena and survived it, then went on around to discover the secrets of Ivalice and the Zodiac Braves, before returning to Eorzea and fighting the empire till the events of the next expansion.

4 - Vieras lived in some regions of Eorzea but they were low in population. Due to the flood, most escaped and established new lives in Sharlyan and this is why there are female and male Vieras over there.

The events of Endwalker were all a dream, and I'm still sleeping peacefully in Elpis after that horrifying meeting where I totally did not tell Venat how awesome she was as a Goddess. Seriously, your feet end up looking AMAAAAAZZZIIIIIING~ You should totes smash the world into 14 pieces, my Mother in the Light of the Crystal that doesn't exist yet.

    .....Yeah. That never happened. ;3

My WoL cannot remember where they came from. Their first memory is that of being on a boat heading toward Limsa Lominsa. They cannot recall where they came from, who their family is or why they even set sail. All they knew is they had this sense in this gut, to go forth and find adventure. She now thinks that being a part of Azem may have somthing to do with it...

Me and my friend long ago speculated that WoL was created probably by Hydaelyn at the start of the game

Oh boy, time for my favourite crackhead theory!

    Endwalker Spoilers ahead

Dancers have been harnessing dynamis all along, and the stuff they've been fighting for millenia to keep in check are the echoes of the song of oblivion that manage to pierce through the celestial currents. Thavnair got hit by the Final Days first because the currents are weakest there, which is why dancers originated there as well. That's why dancing is so esoteric and doesn't have its mechanics explained from an aetherological standpoint unlike most other jobs- because the mechanics that drive their capabilities aren't understood well enough in-universe to be elaborated upon. Bards also utilize dynamis, and possibly dark knights as well.

I agree 100% with this. I think if you look into it, a lot of jobs can be said to have dynamis involved. As you say Dark Knight, but I think Warrior and even Paladin mention during their quests how emotions help control and hardness their power. I do not think it was planned, even Dancer may have just been a convenient coincidence, but its certainly my head canon too!

To take it a step further - that DNC’s moveset has RNG procs is because while the basic moveset is using aether, because dynamis is also being utilized, the unknown/understudied aspect plus the natural fluctuations of emotion is why the procs are not guaranteed.

I disagree there, because we see back in Elpis Venat using DNC with similar moves (during her duel with you, and later on she has access to it in Duty Support if she's a DPS) and... being an Unsundered Ancient, she cannot use Dynamis directly by her own admission (in fact her attacks are stronger than a player's DNC abilities). I think "using emotion" to power an attack is enough explanation and doesn't require "it's dynamis!" to retroactively explain everything in the game, much like using the Echo to 'explain' things as mundane as ability telegraphs.

BUT, this is the crazy headcanon thread, so please ignore my nonsense! :P
