My main headcanon is that a Tonberry giving it's power to the great Louisoix was why he could defeat Bahamut not the whole "summoning of the twelve" thing.
Tonberry, this one word brings forth images of brave warriors defending their palace to the bitter end, but one thing constantly has bothered me. Why can't we have more Tonberries? They have tried to appease us with the Tonberry knife on the Mog station but, this isn't enough. We need Powerful Tonberry bosses, playable Tonberries, and Lalafell Tonberry clothes!!!

I'm very much convinced that
The reason we are forced to watch the cutscene at the end of Refulgence is because what we're witnessing is how Hydaelyn/Venat lost herself by the power of the light and crystalized herself and possibly the Twelve after the battle was over. So now we're talking with somewhat broken mothercrystal/primal that lost a lot of her senses long ago

From Shadowbringers
I now have a headcannon when we meet Hythlodaeus is that Emet had him sitting on that bench because he was going to make a big decision about Zodiark - and ironically was also the last time our Ancient self met up with him before defecting the Convocation. As much as it may be an "exposition" character, I still think because of the story and his position our meeting with him wasn't just for exposition it may be some kind of reflective irony of what happened that day

Very randomly specific and nerdy headcanon about Auri tails:
Basic lizard tail is a dominant trait, so the majority of Auri have that.
Crocodile tail is also dominant and when you cross it with the first tail, it becomes the thicker lizard tail.
Spade tail is recessive and that’s why you see it the least among Auri NPCs (at least, I only really noticed the spade tail on more important NPCs so far)

Let's see... I was an Au Ra for 3 or so years. I think my head canon for'em is that rather than reptilian features, I believe them to be derived from Allagan experiments in crossing Voidsent with Hyurs... but Shadowbringers kinda made that a little less of an idea... though if I try to think about it, I guess the Ascians could have had a hand in trying to create a race that could live and then be manipulated across The Void that is the 13th. Do this across as many shards as possible to perfect the process, then implement on the 13th. idk, it's way more a stretch now, but I still rather like the idea of them being "demonic" in heritage rather than draconic/reptilian.
Basically though, to me, Au Ra = Final Fantasy's take on Tieflings.

My headcannon: Meracydia is Hydaelyn’s equivalent of Australia. Apparently it’s somewhere to the south, Has a lot of dangerous creatures there, and I think the wattle tree (A tree from Australia) that you get wattle bark from in Azys Lla is probably from there.

That's interesting, considering what happens in Eden. The primals the WoL summons are not only warped versions of their Source counterparts, their music are also similar yet different.I came up with a dumb non-canon idea on my own that the music we hear in a primal fight is heard by our character. Most of the songs already have lyrics that are either sung by the primal or their followers (notable exceptions for Ifrit and Garuda who were done by the old team and Bismarck who is just a big dumb whale). So whenever we’re in a fight, we’re being sung at by the primal or their followers or our echo sounds and we’re hearing the thoughts of who we’re fighting like in Shiva’s case. The music accompanying the lyrics is either how the echo interprets the input or just the pure power of the primal warping reality combined with echo stuff.
Does anyone else have thoughts like these or do I just think too much?
For me, a big head cannon is that the MSQ and the DRK questline are directly tied together. In my own head, Frey's soul crystal calls out to the WoL after they eliminate Thordan in what was the bloodiest display of victory on the part of the WoL. Prior to Frey's trial by combat, they witnessed the WoL massacre the entire HW guard, and it was here that their link was established. It is even possible that Frey willingly lost the trial by combat in order to relinquish their soul crystal.

Yeah, when I saw Titan in E4 quote his own theme music lyrics, I was really, really wondering if we were actually being rapped at by Kobolds back in ARR.
