My crazy head cannon.

Godbert and Julyan Manderville are the two unaccounted for Ascians, Deudalaphon and Halmarut respectively. We've already seen Pashtarot in a brief scene at the end of 2.X, so he's right out.

Deudalaphon was the Patron of Innovation. So lets look at what Godbert does with as minimal spoilers as possible. In 2.X he somehow has the Meteor survivor ring. Also he SOMEHOW comes to gain a seat on the syndicate AND builds the Gold Saucer in barely 5 years following the Battle of Carteneau. In 3.X he builds GiGi a new body. In 4.X he votes against Nanamo because her plan would lead to stagnation amongst those she wants to help. In 6.X he tricks Gerolt into innovating the latter's techniques and improving on his weapons.

Halmarut held sway over botanical and fungalogical creations. Any good chef will tell you that its the spices that make the meal. A true artist can make shrooms come alive with flavour. What is Julyan? A culinarian. That frying pan of hers....excuse me, but NO ONE else has a pan, or even the ability to WILL their weapons to spontaneously grow that massive. Unless say...they knew the powers of creation magics...

And then there's Hildibrand. Nothing about this moron makes a LICK of sense... Unless you consider the fact his parents are awakened Ascian Overlords, and passed their powers on to their son. At which point you realize that if it wasn't for his good natured idiocy, Emet-Selch would have won.

I can 100% see Emet coming to Godbert and Julyan after Dalamud's fall to begin preparation for the 8th rejoining. At which point the two of them look at each other, look around at the aftermath, then go...naaaahhh! Then subsequently yeet Emet all the way back to Garlemald.

Estinien can’t read and it’s Alphinaud’s personal mission to teach him to read. That’s really it tho I also have another tiny head cannon that Estinien joined the scions as he was scared of Tataru. That’s it just dumb and silly.

Not really headcanon, but more how our story will end(if it ever does)
At some point we will become Azem and travel back in time.
We will then meet Venat and she takes us under her wing to become the Azem of the ancient past.

A joke conversation with a friend suddenly sprung up into a genuine headcanon about the language of the Mandragoras:

They're speaking in Playstation face buttons, because they actually mean what those symbols were originally supposed to mean. The entire Mandragora language is based on permutations and interactions between the concepts of 'yes' (Circle), 'no' (X), 'here' (Square, which was supposed to be 'map' or 'menu') and 'there' (Triangle, originally meant to be 'where you're looking').

The reason we can't understand it even with the Echo is because it's so unlike our own concepts of language that we can't even wrap our head around what we're hearing.

My personal headcannon, or maybe more accurately saying, is how I RP my Warrior of Light, is that he is a huge airhead.
Like, all the big "blah blah blah"s Scions say, all complicated political stuff, and they ask WoL what we think about and we just answer *Nods*.

WoL was thinking "what these guys are talking about? And who is giant cat woman? Wuk what? Whatever... Damn, please, anyone, summon a primal so I can get out of here....Ooh, a new minion!"

Also, WoL doesn't think they are as strong as they actually are.
"I just fought a catdog and it was really hard!" points at Ifrit corpse.

Ninth is the world of FFIX and eugenics was practiced in the Mist continent.

That's why we only the usual races in Alexandria and in Treno.
The more interesting races were persecuted and went extinct or ran away from the Mist continent

The adventurer business is a sustainable business. And although Sharlayan has the best schools, the Eorzean schools are also excellent.

After hundreds of thousands of children were orphaned by the Calamity, the Eorzean Alliance invested large sums of money to found boarding schools throughout the Realm. Since then, every child has the right to study poetics (including languages), mathematics, mnemonics, philosophy, law, lore, esotericism, etc..., and also learn the basics of combat in the Hall of Novice (which is also part of the program, for those who wish to pursue a career as adventurers).

The subjects are provided to the Realm's schools by Rowena's House of Splendors, as soon as their paid researchers decipher and unravel the knowledge of the allagan tomestones that adventurers are able to unearth.

In this way, young people study the same subjects that the ancient allagan studied/created in the past. And that's why our WoL (perhaps one of those orphans) has so much knowledge in operating allagan machines.

He/she (and other adventurers) is now supplying allagan tomestones to Rowena, so that new children can become adventurers in the future (and acquire some equipment in the process).
