I see you've moved on from personal attacks to semantic arguments. Overeating is a vice which leads to obesity. Just because Eulmorans are doing it doesn't mean the Warrior of Light does, because those are different characters.

That's not a semantic argument, lmao and when did i personally attack you? Also, I can remember two regular Eulmoreans who have the larger model Dulia-Chai and a random npc who wanders the town who you can't interact with. Nothing about them would suggest they over eat but their size, and people can be naturally heavy without overeating.
Vauthry you could make that argument for, i guess. But he's like 12 feet tall and clearly augmented in other ways.

Uhhh... its because nobody is asking for a drinking(alcohol) emote and getting s**t faced, asking to r**e or being a stripper...well actually someone did ask to be a stripper actually.
People are weird.
idk what monster hunter has to do with it, but that's very clearly a beer mug, and i don't remember the last time i saw someone chug a glass of water and react the way you do in the emote. i have seen toasts of ale and beer go down that way however.
edit: actually just checked its description on the mogstation. It is referred to as "grog" there, which is a term for an alcoholic beverage, usually beer. The addition of the phrase, "just make sure it stays down..." Is also quite telling.

I for one am all for it. There are plenty of NPCs that are seen smoking around the game and have a lit Cigar housing item. If you don't want to use it, don't get it. I do think if it is ever implemented that it should be a Cash item much like the "Toast" emote where we raise a mug of "beer" in cheers.
Too many people cringe about smoking because "it's bad for you" but so is drinking alcohol ad we have plenty of Alcohol references and housing items in game that are canon (Drunk Moogles anyone?) It is a game that is VERY RPG heavy and many people like to envision thei characters as a smoker, even if they as a person are not.
Same could be said about the smoking emote. It is a fantasy game it could some special substance that has no negative effects on the person or anyone around.
Though I do wonder if people would still be against it due to the implications behind the action itself in the real world and would still ignore the fantasy aspect.

Because the emote is from monster hunters. Or rather, inspired.

I stand corrected then.
I still don't agree on smoking though. It's far more disgusting than drinking.
Keep the rat poison away from PC emotes.
