Personally I think rainbow colored smoke or mist would be cooler to me just because bubbles seems a bit to childish. Atleast oddly colored smoke seems more fantasy-esque I think.

I think something resembling incense smoke would worm perfectly. I think that’s generally what’s used in some fantasy anime.

I did not expect to get this many people in support of the idea. Yay for the smoking emote be it long pipe, cigar, cigarette, vape pen, bubble pipe, and what other version players would find enjoyable or neat.

I'd be fine with it. There area few NPCs with pipe animations for smoking.

Do those themes being in the game mean we need a r--e emote? An NPC doing something one time is different from all players freely doing it in every city and dungeon.

How? The person was wondering why people aren't bothered about all these other themes being in the game so I pointed out that this thread is not about general themes, but about making an emote usable for players. If you think r--e is an extreme thing to bring up, take it up with AngelCheese77.

No we don't need an emote for that.

I don't get it why it's okay to see NPCs do it, but good lord in heaven, if my pixelated character does it, the world is going to Zodiark and THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!!

Because just like that other emote you wouldn't want in the game, vices are not associated with playable characters in this game (the Warrior of Light). You can't make yourself fat, use drugs, gamble with gil or assault civilians. Story characters can do all of those things. Player characters can't even emote being drunk. I posted a picture of an drunken NPC, and it's quite a different emote from /toast.

Being fat is a vice now? Also the machinist questline literally has you shooting your gun at civilians in the middle of Ishgard. That's just one example.
