Go do Hunts or Weekly maps, you'll find plenty of reason to be out and about.

Ah yes, the assumption that I limit myself on what I want to do and therefore there is nothing for me.

Except I don't. I have done all sorts of things, and am continuously disappointed there is not more.

But here, I can play that game too...

Seriously if you're not using your mount well then mounts are pointless for you. Unlike you, many of us use them daily. Try joining an A rank hunt train to see all the wonderful mounts. Personally I use mine daily and cap tomes on many of my alts doing trains. I don't gather/sell much anymore (don't need the money) but used to do that a lot as well. There are plenty of reasons to be in open world and using a mount.

This, again, is a self created problem by going through the content you want to do to fast and ignoring all other open world content that you're not intrested in.
