Chess-FFT mini-game.
On a 8x8 board, you would place your pieces on the same squares as when u play chess.
so you place 16 pieces on board : 15 are classes representation, 1 is a chest, you decide where you put it and wich classes you put into play.
The goal is to defend the chest and to capture the other ones.
rules :
- All Disciplines can only move one square at a time, any direction. *LCN can jump over an enemy/ally but only once(used as an normal ability)
- A Discipline of magic and war can use one of their owner player learned spell/ability only one-time in the game then they will only direct hit-capture opponen pieces. (the spell/ability is choosed Before the battle begin) AoE enable (8 squares around you, caution for friendly-fire)
- Only a Disciple of the land can use random tree, fish, ore icon appearing randomly on the board. They can move faster to it only one-time in the game using the arbor call level related to the player character classes rank.
- tree icon give a mp/tp regenration to friendly pieces (all spell/ ability can be played once again) (btn)
- fish icon let you move your chest once. (fsh)
- Ore icon let you revive a dead piece on own chess adjacent squares (min)
- Disciple of the hand (any classes) would hit-capture as normal pieces but would also have the possibility to reinforce the chest as a synth attempt (take 1 turn). Would be able to to use one of its player character learned ability depending on the classes you put into play. They would also be able to open one-shot a reinforcered chest with a synth attempt.
-A reinforced chest need +1 hit to open it.
What in the chest is previously accepted by both of the players. It's much like a bet.
Colored board would affect the battle much like Laws, blue and white board would mean no item. Red and black board would mean no spells. Etc.
What do you think? Idea need lot of work but its a good base i think.
