What Is The Point Of Leveling Trusts?

I like the Trust system, both in FFXI where it started and now in FFXIV, and I think I know WHAT leveling Trusts achieves but I fail to understand WHY one would do it.

It seems to be, so far at least, every dungeon on the MSQ will have Trusts at the correct level and assuming this is SE's intent going forward then what is the point of re-running the previous dungeons umpteen times simply to get the 'old' trusts up to whatever is the current level?

What am I missing here, as from what I know at the moment you end up with nothing you don't have without doing so.

Well at level 80 you unlock glamor for the trust but mostly the point is when you don't want to deal with people and just want to relax level use the trust beside honestly trust really teachs you dungeons so you can learn the physical way if you want honestly I wish it was on trails at least for the first time you do them.

I think you can only run the newest MSQ dungeon with Trusts once before they revert back to the actual level you have them at. They also unlock an additional costume at max level, and (I think?) you get an achievement and a title.

Beyond that there's not really a point to it.

Leveling trusts allows you to use Trusts to replay the dungeons from level 73-80 with a Trust (With level 71 always being available without leveling them up).

This means, you can level alt jobs via Trusts without having to rely on DF, which can be useful for leveling DPS jobs with poor queue timers or if you're playing at a non-prime time.

It also allows you to farm gear from said dungeons for use or glam (Without having to roll against anyone else)

I think the level 80 dungeons also give you Tomestones too (I know they do when you do them the first time)

Beyond that... Not a ton of value for doing so. But that's not a particularly new phenomina for FFXIV content

I like them a lot. I use them to level my roles in addition to some roulettes. They are perfect for me especailly with roles I don't use that much and they allow me to take my time and to learn how to play them better before venturing out into df with others. I've leveled them on one of my alts and am leveling them now on my main.

And yes they do give Tomestones when run at level 80 with level 80 dungeons.

Correct. You can run MSQ dungeons once with "scenario mode" trusts (as with the levelling dungeons, it's possible to have "guest star" party members other than the usual party) then it reverts to requiring you to have your trust avatars at Lv80 to replay it.

Getting all avatars to Lv80 does re-unlock scenario mode as well.

    You get all the loot!

    I guess.

I made a decent chunk of change from some of the minions early on while doing trusts.

It's good for DPS and avoiding Q times I guess(I realize the word queue is literally 4 vowels in a row that makes the same freaking sound as the letter Q so I'm gonna be lazy and use Q.)

I had the amaro mount within 2 months of launch. Trusts played a huge part in that. It is great for leveling alt jobs.

LOVE the addition of these trusts, I use em all the time not only to get some current tome stones, but more so to rerun and lv up alts in my own time and calmly!

I think they are a great addition and very thankful SE added them, now to allow trusts (by adding a few more) to be able to do MSQ trials pls
