The intermediate results got Emet-Selch on #11 and Crystal Exarch #23. Don't know about the places 1-10, but Y'shtola could probably have made it. Neverless, at least those three should be in the final top 50.

Totally agree. to see him above Feo Ul is weird Feo is so much better written character than he is .. though its just my opinion on that matter

It's a shame that Hien isn't rated higher. Though I'm glad to see that Japan doesn't have the same weird aversion to antagonists and villains as many players on this side of the fence do. Simply expressing a fondness for someone like Regula or Gaius is enough to receive death threats from some of the very unhinged and bitter residents of the FFXIV Reddit - as I unfortunately know from experience!
