    So there's 2. "ffxivboot.exe" and "ffxivboot64.exe", and I disabled fullscreen optimizations for both. I'm guessing the 1st one is 32-bit and the 2nd is 64-bit? I may have been using the 32-bit version this entire time by default, but directx11 is on in the game launcher. Going to try using the 64 version for a while.

    Edit: there's also ffxivboot.bck and ffxivboot.ver. I assume these are just small settings files related to the .exe's that I should not touch.

    Half hour later from my previous post: The random crash still happened.

    Honestly, I'm done trying generic fixes. I want to find out what the actual error is when these crashes happen, what is causing this crash to occur. Is there some way to set up Event Viewer to specifically look for events related to the FFXIV application so I can maybe catch some kind of error code or something?
