It has actually happened to me though, when I was farming for Fiend’s sap less than a year ago. The dude said they had already rolled (when they hadn’t) and then waited till the last 5 seconds to finally roll on it, and then the party completely died, because ain’t nobody got time for that. It’s happened a few times before and after that (often with nightmare drops, I got mine with a stubborn 88 roll, when a dude took at least 4mins to roll).

    Yes pleased to reduced timer
At least shave it down to like two and a half minutes
If I get a decent roll on something I want, I'm not leaving no matter how long you sit there staring at the roll box

I honestly spend more time looking that up than anything else at the end of Copied Factory runs.
This. I'm normally one of the first to roll, first-timer cutscenes notwithstanding. But Orchestrion Rolls and TT Cards, I often have to pause and go look up if I have them or not. Does not help that neither of those have an in-game search feature, so I'm reliant on how quickly my collections website of choice is loading at that particular moment in time.

Also, the multi-drop cards and such cause problems: even if I know I want the Yiazmat card, when three drop, I don't want to win all three and deprive others. That literally happened the other day, rolled Need on the first, eventually lost the roll, then rolled Need on the second, won that (yay!) and so Greeded on the third to let someone else have their shot. I've also seen one person win two out of three of a card drop, which is extra infuriating, so I refuse to do that to others. Ideally, those multi-drop items would have one loot slot, and just pick the top three Need rolls or move on to Greeds if less than 3 rolled Need (and obviously ideally the game would remember you won a Need roll on a thing before and drop your Need to a Greed to stop folk yoinking cards and rolls to sell when folk are actually trying to collect, but that's a separate issue and probably waaaay too awkward to implement), but short of that, you need a bit more time to let one drop roll out before making choices on the second and third and so on.

On the one hand I do agree with this.

On the other hand it probably would have gotten me kicked from my expert roulette last night (healer and I got into an "disagreement" right before the second boss because I wasn't using every single cool down I had and was "clemencying" too much, even though thats why I didn't die at several instances. They even decided to pull the second boss while we were having this talk which was even more annoying).

Long story short, I'm on the fence about this idea but than again at the end of the day even if you knew who hadn't rolled other than yelling at the person over and over again you can't do anything but wait for the roll to either be rolled on or the timer to roll out anyways, so more than likely not just a waste of resources.

I'm half and half for this very reason.

When I do big boy pulls, I can't really be bothered to roll. At the same time, at the end of alliance raids, people will sit and run the timer out just for a shot at the minion of choice.

Rolling in a dungeon doesn't usually take long, I have no problem doing it. Even when tanking or healing big pulls, there's usually time enough in between pulls because I don't need to spend much time deliberating on whether to roll on dungeon loot or not.

For raids, I'm torn. I do want some time for the cases where someone might legit dc, or take a moment to decide what token they want to roll on etc. On the other hand, it does get frustrating when people are stalling for time, and passing on everything but the one piece they want to try and maximize their oddsand waiting out the clock. WHich is then made more complicated when you have people doing the same thing to more than one piece of gear so it's a game of chicken on who's going to fold first.

I think it would be way more helpful to decrease the timer. A minute should suffice for most people. If someone AFKs after the boss dies then...well, tough luck. Get 'em next time.

SE will never add something that would allow players to pressure other players into anything. Just saying. It's not that bad to wait the extra 4mn or however long it is. I wouldn't want it shortened. It should at least be long enough for people to reboot their routers if they're having issues.

Just curious but even if you could see who hasn't rolled on a drop yet [well more easily anyway], what practical use would it provide? You wouldnt be able to kick them while the roll is going and you wouldnt be able to force them to roll. Also unless they give some sort of verbal confirmation it would be rather difficult to prove malicious intent on their part.
