You did huh? Let me put it in a different light, then. Of course simply opting out of something is the most common sense way to rectify an unfavorable situation. However, in some cases there are extenuating circumstances that might prohibit one from simply dropping the case because it's the 'easiest' answer to the problem. In the adult world, we realize this, and generally don't appreciate such black-and-white thinking.

Are you sure you understood Akira? I believe he said that if you don't like RMT, not to play MMOs.

It's not simply opting out, or avoiding a problem. It's being realistic that there will always be RMTs in MMOs.

The question isn't whether or not you can wipe them out, but if you can make life hell for them by repeatedly suspending/banning their accounts and/or implementing measures that make it difficult for them to grind massive amounts of in-game currency.

In both cases, the devs need to take extreme care not to negatively effect the gameplay experience of honest paying customers. Consider RMTs who have multiple accounts and rotate them in intervals. That is only an example of how some RMTs may avoid suspicion. RMTs have been banned in this game. There are those of us who know this. Some have been around for a very long time- we see them time and time again. It goes to show some are easier to spot than others.

In game we can see a funny named lalafell who is repeatedly gathering and be quick to pass judgement that they are botting RMTs, but I assure you there is an abundance of cases where we'd be wrong.

In conclusion, this thread will serve no ultimate purpose to aid the battle against RMT.

And his response seems like an acceptable one, to you? If so, carry on, but I don't have to.
