Anyone who can't wait one extra week is way too impatient. We already wait several months for content. Certainly competitive players who finish tiers early wait a super long time until new hardcore content comes to the game. If they can wait several months, then they can easily wait one more week. It's not that big a deal.

What is a big deal though is forcing your hardcore playerbase to get all their stuff together in one day, and anyone who dares to have life things like a job or an education are automatically at a disadvantage because they can't no-life a game for an entire day on a weekday.

Delaying savage by a week puts hardcore teams on more equal footing, while also allowing them to have time to enjoy the other patch content and prepare for hardcore content without needing to rush like crazy and skip things.

Most hardcore players enjoy many types of content. Why not let them do that in a way that doesn't interfere with their savage progress? Everyone benefits from this.
