5.2 PVP Ninja

Just played PVP NIN for the first time since 5.2... Really, SE? Really?

In 5.15 they nerfed the ???? out of ninja because of the salt over its damage. Regardless, it was still in an ok place. Comparable to its PVE standing anyway.

In 5.2 they seemingly just nerfed the rest of it’s damage and made it pretty much unplayable. Why?

What offensive output does it have now? Kassatsu Hyosho for e.g. used to shred against ranged and casters, now, they may as well have max battle high with that baby level damage. I mean, it’s ninja’s strongest attack!

SE also buffed it’s “run away” ability (shukuchi) - which just reverted the nerf from 5.15. So, now it has hide and run away. And no damage. As a DPS. In PVP. Nice.

This is a jerk reaction to my first 5.2 match, granted, but wtf is SE’s problem with ninja?!

Also, bring back assassinate stun. You gave NIN 1 sec of silence for stun? Should’ve been 1 min of silence, for ninja, in PVP.

I havent tried pvp since the patch but i cant see Ninja being that much worse, i mean they nerfed the shuriken throw sure but they buffed your survival wich was the worst part about Ninja in Feast at least.

We might see more pvp changes in the next patch i doubt this was the last of them since Dancer barely got nerfed at all.

Just looking at the melees right now i would say Samurai might be the best pick since their defense is godlike and their burst might be the best.
Dragoon got buffed making them abit better. (Might be second best melee now)
Monk got nerfed abit not sure where to rate it the nerfs wasnt that bad still going to be strong in Feast.
Ninja dmg nerf on shuriken but buffed defense still viable.

Feint nerfed abit for all melees going to decrease their damage output by a small amount.

It looked like the patch looked to take out some of its burst and appease frontlines players, while improving survivability and sustained damage for The Feast. That said I haven't played Feast since the patch to see how it works in that environment.

That fact you haven't played feast this patch and still were able to interpret the patch notes correctly in that way, brings me great joy.

You might like the ilvl 200 (and more) daggers in the Ishgard bar : Yukimitsu (and it's evolutions)
