With regards to the perfect status, I think what I have issue with is the nature of the bombs.

As a rail shooter fan, and someone who basically lives in Gold Saucer, I am a bit disappointed here. You can click the targets here before they are fully visible... This includes the bombs. The nature of how long it takes your input device pipeline to render an image, and the delay it takes for information via light and sound to reach you and your brain to interpret it, and the likewise very small time span of when an input is entered and is registered, leaves you subject to times where you click, and a bomb appeared right where you clicked, and you lose points.

The result is, if you are experienced at the game, you kind of mentally remember when the bombs appear, and you just wait. It's a solution, but feels kind of sucky. I think the bombs should not be clickable for a second after they spawn, so they have time to properly render.

Of course, Gold Saucer is just a goofy place for goofy fun, so it's not the end of the world if you mess up. Though because it's just a place for goofy fun, it makes some of the misgivings a little more disappointing.
