I like the music, but it just doesn't fit. It is a more intense track than what's on the final boss -- it breaks the flow of the dungeon, imo.
So while I do like the new song, I don't care for the context(implementation) of it.

I get why they did it and it fits for most fights(first boss of the Twinning comes to mind), but not all of them..
It sounds like Barbara ann by Beach boys i can't unhear it from the Intro
Wait, did they change the midboss theme in there to the Insatiable remix? Is that what that point in the patch notes was referring to? I haven't done the old 5.0 EX dungeons since 5.2 dropped and haven't gotten Cosmos in current EX roulette, so I haven't heard what they'd changed yet.
Edit: never mind, got Cosmos tonight. Apparently they did change the old midboss track.

Were we born to fight and die? Sacrificed for one huge lie?
Are we heroes keeping peace?
Or are we weapons?
Pointed at the enemy so someone else can claim a victory?
Should have made a new track, rather than a remix. Not even that good of a remix.
Check out this remix! We added some guitar! You like guitar, right?
They didn't create the Remix for FF XIV. It's a Remix the Primals created for Dissidia NT as that had its anniversary.
I'm taking Lore way too seriously. And I'm not sorry about that.
I don't like it much either, especially in the Shadowbringer leveling dungeons. I liked the music they had selected for each mid boss/first boss before better.
