    Feedback about marks in combat

I used to (after all mechanics are done) delete all markers to make videos for friends to show how cool the game is. Showing the (markerless) transformation cutscene + last phase of Hades Exteme for example got 2 friends to buy the game and are now almost at the end game.

Now that there's 8 huge markers in the fight from beginning to end that can't be removed, I cannot do this anymore cause it's a clunky mess of static markers everywhere

So I propose to atleast give us an option to customize them, so we can make them smaller for ourselves (like the bahamut size option). Maybe also a transparency slider would be cool so people can basically play 100% marker-free if they want, because immersion ftw

Even the option to personally show/hide markers alone would be good enough.

Massive +1 from me on an option to control the transparency. It’s all too common for me to not be able to see my own feet if I’ve got a marker behind me. Being able to tone them down just a bit would be nice

That's a really sensible idea TBH. I'd be a little bit nervous about allowing people to turn off markers outright in 8 man duties, but there's no reason to have them visible when your UI is turned off.

I dont know if you can or not, but even if you can hide them thats not really helpful for what I have in mind - I want to take screenshots during fights (ofc in moments where its safe for me to hide my UI, because I know whats gonna happen within the 1-2 seconds that it takes me to take a screenshot). I dont really have the time to switch to /gpose and be completly taken out of the battle that way (does /gpose even work mid-battle? I'd hope not...). Hiding my UI is just one button and still allows me to keep fighting - if I know that all I need to press next is 1-2-3 I can hide my hotbars and still fight.

Locked markers in combat remove a communication tool

I disagree with locking markers in combat altogether.

To me, they've been an incredibly helpful tool for communication in combat (raids in particular) when typing or voice chatting are not an option (and I'm not a macro person). I can mark safe spots, I can place markers for adds should folks have forgotten about those. I've regularly received positive feedback from other players: "Thanks, whichever player placed those markers!" and felt proud that my assistance was appreciated, but that I could also fulfill my job as a mentor without actually spoiling any mechanics even for players new to a fight.

Locking the markers in combat because of that banned third-party addon makes sense, to me, in extreme, savage and ultimate content, but not the rest of the game. I'd very much prefer to see this lock limited to just that content, or have the lock removed altogether.
