How old is Ryne???? (Slight 5.2 Spoilers)

Ok so from this recent patch (5.2 if your reading in the future) we are slowly coming to know how old Ryne is.

She was roughly taken from Eulmore between when she was born to 3 years old (especially since she can\\'t remember her birth name). Eulmore took her and kept her for 10 years (based off of what Moren says once we get to the Crystarium) then Thancred rescued her 3 years before we came to the First.

As of 5.2, Ryne says "apart from Alphinaud and Alisae, I hardly know anyone my own age" when taking about Gaia and we already know canon wise that the twins are 16.
So we take a guess that Ryne is between the age of 14-16 (17 even depending on the age she was taken from her parents) based off of our information we have.

In your opinion with what we know of now, how old would you say Ryne is and why? If you have any extra details post them below!

Actually, the twins are (technically) 17 now since they spent a year (almost) on the First... though their bodies on the Source are still 16.

Time bubble shenanigans. I agree that there should be more aging and more show of time progression, but I'm not a developer.

I've always thought of Ryne as 14-15. "My own age" is a pretty vague term and doesn't necessarily mean exactly the same age. I just assume it was meant to point out that they're not grown-ups and she's only ever been around grown-ups. Granted, children tend to talk about ages more specifically than adults do (particularly the younger they are: I'm 5 and three quarters!) so the argument could be made that she meant their actual ages. It doesn't feel right to me that she'd be 16-17 though.

Also considering that the WoL was being mentored when he was starting "many moons ago" we can guess that 2.0-5.2 happens on a period of time of less than 2 years but probably more than 1 year ago (not including the time passed on the First)

Ryne age is easier to guess and should be 15-16 (3 year old was caught by Elmore, then 10 years passed while imprisoned and 2-3 years with Thancred after being rescued)

About Ryne relationship with others Thancred is her father figure while Urianger is the cool uncle. The twins act as older brother and sister and remember that Allisae tends to be far gentler with younger ones than with Alph so she probably fits the "cool sis" archtype. Her relationship with Y'shtola is more blurry since she looks really young (is stated she looks on her early twenties but shes on her late twenties due to magic shaenigans) but her adult demeanor can be offputting (and would be fun for Ryne to call her "aunt" while Y'shtola smiling gently as a vein pops up on her face xD )
Her relationship with the WoL/WoD is probably left open on purpose to let players think their own relatiosnhip with Ryne

I've always guessed around 14ish. Like mhaeirc said, "my own age" generally means around the same age, not the exact same number, especially the younger you are.

It's probably longer than that, I'd guess that time is passing approximately equal to real time. At least 4-6 years worth of events have happened since 2.0. Travel time alone would make 1-2 years impossible (we spent at least a month just on a ship traveling to Kugane the first time.) Time is still passing at a normal rate. It's just that calendar isn't moving.

I'd say about 16-17 if only because of the amount of people complaining about her non Shiva dress outfits in E8 and E8S. I don't like how she looks younger though look at F'lhaminn who is supposed to be much older than she appears to be. Part of me wants to believe that she looks younger due to her not having life experiences until Thancred broke her out of jail. I mean heck I'm older than I look and people assume I'm at least eight years younger until I tell them my age. We also know that SE has an issue of giving npcs faces that give us a better visual clue as to how old someone is. Koji and the rest of the Lore team are just going to have to put out another book. >.> <.<
