High ping, Delays, and Rubber banding since the new patch.

So I have only been playing for about a month and a half with no issues at all. Since this new patch though I get horrible pings of 450+ with massive delays and rubber banding. Which makes playing pretty much impossible. I have no idea what would cause this all of a sudden? But any ideas would greatly be appreciated.

Well all I have tried is other online games as to which I have no problem with ping issues. Seems to be only on FF.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums,

Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

- The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
- Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
- Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
- Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
- Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
- Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
- Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
- Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
- Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
- Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

-Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game

- Check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request they open them for you:

-Try disabling background applications and do a clean boot. To perform a clean boot, please use the following steps:

1) Click Start
2) Type 'msconfig.exe' in the Start Search Box

5) Click to clear the Load Startup Items check box
6) On the Services tab, click to select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box
7) Click Disable All

Nothing has worked. I even payed over $40 on vpns to try and help this issue. I got to learn how nodes and the such work but again, nothing works. It sucks, found a mmo in the last 20 years I enjoy but now it wants to give me issues. My sub runs out soon So i am done. Thanks for everyone on here and reddit for trying to help.

I'm having the same problems. The game keeps telling me my connection to the game is excellent but 5minutes after logging in, everything starts lagging (i.e getting stuck after talking to NPCs, unable to see my character when I teleport, people rubberbanding all over the place) I can't do any duty anymore without experiencing freeze-screens.

I've already tried setting the game to above-normal priority, I hope I can find more solutions to this ><

We really need an update to fix all of this problem . Today I'm able to log in the game without 6d error when click play , but got constanly disconnect every 5 mins black screen 90001 90002 90006.

Unfortunately, if the troubleshooting provided hasn't alleviated the issue, then you are likely running into an issue along your way to the server. In this case, I'd recommend contacting your ISP regarding the issue.
