Fury's 14 Duty Action Warrior Issue

Hello. I keep running into something when doing the new Savage raid with Ramuh.

During the Fury's 14 part, I keep doing the duty action properly, but it still knocks me off and kills the whole party. Here is how I'm doing it:

1. As soon as I see him dash off, I untarget him and use Holmgang.
2. I run inside the circle as soon as it pops up, and use the Duty Action.
3. I stand completely still - without turning the camera or doing anything - and analyze what is happening.
4. I look at my buff bar and see the yellow "Braced" icon.
5. Before any of this, I picked up an orb. It still has a lot of seconds on the timer.
6. Holmgang still has about 3 seconds left.

Yet when the charge hits, I live with 1 HP but still end up getting knocked off.

What am I doing wrong? It's driving me insane! Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. This unreliability is making it so that I can never feel confident if I'm gonna be able to do it or not. And since there are two of these in the fight, I NEED to be able to know I can do it 100% of the time.

Is anyone else having problems with this? I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I had a similar issue today as a Paladin: Hallowed Ground used, Brace popped still got knocked off. Battle Log showed me taking 0 damage twice and Stand Your Ground and Braced falling off after being hit.

It worked fine for me every time. Are you facing the boss before using the action?

I don't really worry about that, but technically I should be facing the boss considering I always chase after him after he dashes. I've tested out targeting him vs. untargeting him (I need to untarget him to cast Holmgang), and it still doesn't work 100% of the time.

I haven't personally performed the duty action yet but from my understanding you absolutely have to make sure you're facing the boss or it won't work.

I'm gonna try being extra careful with the direction I'm facing and see if that solves anything.

I have the same issue, duno how many times you have to click on the duty action, even when I click 3 times on it, it still doesn't work.

I have successfully pulled it off once and it only took 1 use of the action. The buff seems to disappear if you make any movements or use any other action.

I had no trouble with that mechanic yesterday and today I've been struggling every pull.

Perhaps it's because you need not to move as you said, gonna try this.

I make myself facing him directly, hit the duty action and then take my hands off the keyboard entirely to make sure I don't accidentally move.
