New female midlander running animation?

Please dev change the running combat animation of SCH and SMN for women.

The sprinting or the running? I think running is ok, it's the sprinting that looks weird to me when holding that book, lets not even mention the Elezen.

Oh don't even think about touching my dainty princess run!

Can't keep sprint up full time, so as tank in heavy armor you've gotta love it.

As healer, I can't keep up period and love being all "doot dee dooo" while everyone leaves me in the dust ;p

Dodging the bad during Slice is Right is way too adorable. Just need a emote where we stick our tongues out in a 'nah naahhh' fashion

This animation has pretty much become the signature of the Midlander female.

It is cute but it also doesn't appeal to allot of people as well, me included after a while.. though, if they do change it, it will most likely be an optional change like change pose.

Can someone tell me why the FFXIV community hates on girl midlanders so much? I think they are a very feminine and cute race...I genuinely don’t get the hate for them, it’s not like anyone is forcing you to play as one

Well.. yes they're cute.. it's hard to explain really, preference i guess. When i run, i run in a jogging motion which is natural to me.. when i see someone run like that i just think "de hek dey doin?"

yes changed the one of the most detailed walk animations lol
if anything , i'd prefer a new walk animation for elezen , both genders
maybe improve some of the body parts too

I love Hyurs but midlander is too plain with her poses and flat figure and yeah, I wouldn't mind if I could choose a different run. I like highlanders too with their playful use of emotes (4th voice, best voice ingame) but they are too buff for me, we need a mix!

I wish they would add new runs ones to everyone and we could choose which to use.

Yes, I would agree. As i commented on someone else's i hope the expansion will add more customization to all of the races instead of a new race

Speaking as someone that hates the dainty female midlander running animation....

I don't see this happening. While I do personally dislike it, that change may upset people that DO like the current animation so I'd feel selfish asking for it to be changed.

Adding in alternate animations for character models, I don't see why female midlanders should be singled out to get more options. Maybe if it were part of a larger set of optional animations but I really don't see the dev team putting the effort into that instead of new npc/enemy/player emote animations they could be doing instead.

Maybe, maybe not. time will tell. if we do get it i doubt only one race will get changes. with the change pose already a thing it's more than likely that if they do, it would be an option.

I love female Midlander's princess run, I love female Miqo'te cute run even more.


On the other hand I hate female Au Ra's running animation as much Viera's and female Elezen, if I don't play other races is because I can't stand their animations because they don't give me the emotions I'm looking for!.




Edit: Oh, almost forgot, I'd love to have the cutscene's running animation. Have you noticed it!?. It's different from the normal ones!.

You're right, there are some cut-scenes with pre determined animations.. But yeah that's a great idea. adjusted running animations for all the races to use would be pretty good. Miqo'te do have the running animation in my opinion.
