New female midlander running animation?

May I be bashed by this? yes. Is this perhaps a frequent request/question? yes.

FFXIV Devs and fellow FFXIV subs.. do we have any hope of a new or optional way to change the running animation for Midlanders? I want to play as regular human that doesn't princess run everywhere. it just feels.. off. When I'm wearing armor it doesn't look right, if i'm in a cut-scene and all the characters are running and then there's me or another midlander just prancing along it just doesn't look right either unless it's supposed to be a comedic setting.

EDIT 2020-02-21 - Thank you for replies! honestly i wasn't expecting any more than a few replies but i'm happy to see everyone's opinions regardless if i agree with them or not. I may try to bite it and try again sometime but we'll see what happens.. I tried to reply to most of your replies and i may try to get them all soon but i think i'm done for today, thanks again!

I think the run is adorable, and I've actually known people who have played midlander over other races because of it, among other reasons. To each their own I guess

And that's super duper fine. much like change pose, change run would be nice, so everyone gets what they want

Yea, hopefully we can CHOOSE different animations, because there is no way in hell my femroe is gonna run like some "dainty princess"

I've always thought that would be a really cool feature in an MMO - being able to pick the personality of your character, which would impact their dialogue options as well as their emotes.

Not saying I'd ever expect it to come to XIV, but it's just been a thought that creeps into mind now and then.

Sure why not? if one race gets it then i don't see why the others can't. I've been hoping the next expansion may bring us existing character updates instead of new ones.

Well we can choose an idle pose, so why not run animations as well? :3

I don't even notice it anymore. Tail clipping and Au Ra stiff animation is far worse.

Tail clipping hasn't really bothered me too much for some reason
