My feedback all 3 need improvements to their gameplay still.
Whm - alternative non heal(not necessarily dmg) for lillies
Sch - fairy ghosting
Ast - controller/targeting issues, mp management skill
All 3 healers - more than 1 button to spam
Anything else I feel can wait until next expansion at this point since be too much work at this stage.
The content itself is pretty fun, but the healers aren't. I just want to clear this tier ASAP so I can go back to TEA. The sooner I can clear TEA the sooner I can cancel my sub and play games I genuinely enjoy.
If the games making you this miserable then take a break already. I struggle to understand this mentality of repeatedly torturing yourself.
I genuinely enjoy the content, and I'm in full Sunk Cost Fallacy mode. I want to clear an ultimate after I've sunk so much time into it.
I feel like in some of the new normal Eden fights and the Ruby Weapon (second phase) was relatively enjoyable because it was everyone’s first time and everyone has lower ilvl at this early point in the patch.
As always though it’ll become less and less enjoyable as time goes on. I kinda wish the healing could stay like that even at higher ilvls. I don’t think it’s demanding enough that people would stop playing healer (anymore than they have now).
As an addendum I done the new dungeon with trusts on Scholar and I hate to say but I regretted it lol. I knew I wasn’t going to be healing much but I could’ve just afk’d the whole dungeon and probably been fine. I know I shouldn’t be surprised by that but still, I thought there might at least be a chance someone would go below like 80%
I loved all of the new fights because nobody knows them and it forces me to actually heal and fix mistakes. Game's no fun when everybody's working near flawlessly. I stopped healing near the end of 5.1 because i simply spammed my damage spell repeatedly and healed only during unavoidable damage. It wasn't fun.
I like how Ruby Weapon has more unavoidable damage than a normal fight. Keeps me on my toes.
Healers wouldn't feel so bad right now if there was more random unavoidable damage that we'd be forced to react to (doesn't even need to be groupwide damage.
It's beyond the point of wondering if it's balanced or fun. It just doesn't feel like we're really taking part in the fights.
All attacks one-shot or deal very high-damage, with most of the time a defence debuff that can't be cured. And it's obvious it has to be this way since we have far too much heal power and MP. The result is : we don't actually have much agency on the fights outcomes. The only things that really matter is whether the other players are dying faster than we can raise. Filling HP between attacks is trivial and could just as well be automatised. In the best (worst?) case, everyone is doing perfect and we just have to dps (which is not far from "doing nothing"). It's a farce.
