Still bored. Am trying to find ways to get interested again. Still giving it a chance with new things, because my healer itch is still a thing. Healing is my jam.
I totally get why the devs don't want to keep disclosing information the forums are going to explode about and I'm fine with that, if the "Holy will get you banned" thread tells us anything is that people will necessarily explode and deal in hyperbole whilst not knowing what they're talking about and when they're missing facts that could make or break their understanding of what they know.
But I think communication is still necessary it's just a question of the right level of communication. "We're reviewing it, we cannot give details as of yet until we have given it a proper review. Please bear with us, we understand your frustrations" would be sufficient. It's far from ideal, sure, but it tells us 1) they're listening 2) will take our comments into consideration 3) not committed yet to fixing them so we can't hold them to account. 4) no specifics or expectations are set on what the end result will be.
Because I don't expect it to be resolved overnight, as much as I'd like it to be (it's just unreasonable to expect it) and I know the dev process can be a long one especially on something as big as this game where resources can be spread across so many different things and who are we to say our needs take the highest priority and for them to stop everything already planned out to satisfy us?
But at least we'd know where they stand. And if they were to say "it's working as intended, we intend to do nothing more beyond balance changes" that's also knowing where they stand. At least then any complaints will be about that. Some may still complain as we are like MCH did when they were told the same and got their job redesigned or accept they're not going to get what they liked about healing back and move onto a different role or game that satisfies their needs.
But either way, it'd be a positive step for them to make.
