I'm waiting for some static members to return before trying savage, but I feel like..

The new raids at normal mode level still aren't designed with their intention of making healers focusing on healing? There's a lot of damage on some of the raid wides.. You need to top your party members up between large hits as usual in order to survive the next wave and they're taking large amounts of health with current gear, but so many of the mechanics in this tier are just pass or fail leading to instant death, and aside from patching people up between the infrequent hits there are just numerous mechanics that a healer can't do anything about except for not fail them yourself. Incoming damage on the tanks actually feels.. Really low.. So the "maintenance healing distraction" isn't even that pressing. I'm not really complaining about these fights overall, they're really fun.. It's just an observation that we're sitting at maybe the half way mark of raiding content and on the casual side of content, I personally feel like the healer changes are still poorly matched to the reality of the content. An exciting first run while you sort out the mechanics, then every subsequent run devolves into "lots of downtime with mostly 1 button to keep your company" which is normal now..
