I've been spending some time in Limsa today, and haven't seen ONE gil seller spam message. Absolutely amazing, as I usually see several in the first minute.
Can't last I suppose... They'll figure a way around whatever SE did to stop them.

The bots are always broken for a time after a major patch due to memory addresses and other coding they read in order to function being tweaked and no longer valid, but they all come back rather quickly.
Give it a couple days, they'll be back. Although I wish there was a way to put them in some form of "jail" and not let them out again. Let them loop forever among themselves.
Or some way to quickly flag the account the second they notice specific keywords posted enough times on various characters, since gil spammers like to spam then delete soon after.
This never works. There are always ways around automated filters, and they usually only inconvenience real players more than bots.
Welp, it took all of about 12 hours for the DoL bots to come back, so expect the gil farmers to return in short order.
Would be nice to have an economy that's not run by them for longer then a few days for once.
