    Game cannot run when click the "play" button with error (6d)

    not any other information
    It randomly appears after the patch5.2 update. not any clear way to deal how to fix it, and nothing common system information between all thread with this error on forum now.
    So I think ALL of this problem are belong to the client.
    Please fix it as soon as possible

    We apologize for the delay in responding. To prevent repeating previously attempted troubleshooting, what have you tried to alleviate the problem? Does this crash happen when Final Fantasy XIV is the only program running? Where in game does the crash occur? Also, could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

    ALL SCENARIOS AND SUGGESTIONS WE HAVE TRIED, INCLUDING RESTART PC, CHANGE VPN OR REINSTALL FULL-GAMES, ARE YOU THINK WE SHOULD CHANGE A COMPUTER AND REINSTALL THE SYSTEM?
    THERE WERE ALREADY MUCH EXAMPLE THREAD. GAME DO NOT RUN AND THE LANCHER END WHEN CLICK THE "PLAY" BUTTON.
    I THINK WE HAVE DESCRIBED IT VERY VERY CLEARLY, AND WE NEADN'T PROVIDE ANYMORE. WE ARE VERY CONFIRM THAT ALL PROBLEM ARE BELONGS TO THE CLINET.
    PLEASE DO WHAT YOU SHOULD DO AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, OK?

    Remilia — Not SE customer service here, just trying to be helpful. Have you tried switching the launcher back to the old mode? (Go into settings in the launcher, and you can switch which launcher you're using from there.) For a number of my friends having the issue, that was able to get them back in the game at least for now. I don't know if it'll work for everyone, but it might be worth trying if you haven't already.

    Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    Have any changes happened to the device before the issue began? We would also like to recommend several other troubleshooting steps:

    1) Make sure that your hardware is not overheating and remove any overclocks you may have on your graphics card or processor. Please check that any fans or vents are clear of blocks.
    2) Disable any additional programs that could cause interference with the game itself including chat programs. Also, remove any custom configurations made using graphics driver-level programs.
    3) Turn off Fullscreen Optimizations. Find the executable file for the game (normally found in the install folder), right-click it and select 'Properties'. Under the 'Compatibility' tab, check the box labeled 'Disable Fullscreen Optimizations', then click 'Apply'.
    4) Remove any unnecessary USB or audio devices (controllers, headphones, flash drives etc.)

    When the moderator is trying to help you, and you refuse to provide the information they ask for but instead reply unnecessarily aggressively, I wouldn't blame said moderator for ignoring you going forward. Some players are experiencing issues since the new loading screen was introduced. I am one of those players. The only solution I have found so far is to immediately restart my PC, I can then log in with no problem.

    Yelling at people and being rude isn't in the least bit helpful. Quite the opposite in fact

    i think the fact of the matter is that all they are doing is using cut and paste replies on everyone's posts, and it quickly becomes infuriating that it comes across as they are doing nothing to remedy the situation which is obviously on their end, due to multiple people with different systems having the same issue directly after a patch.
