I was there yesterday with my partner and we were just fighting mobs together with no issues. Then a third person showed up who seemed to be popping NMs, so we'd go help and the 3 of us fought quite a few with just us. Maybe set up a PF for even just a couple more people to join you. And if you're determined to solo, maybe pick a soloable job, like a tank or RDM.

Back in 4.x times Eureka was really slow but still possible to solo. Now it's actually not too bad, at least once you accumulate some magicite. A couple days ago I did all of my challenge log entries solo on Pagos in about 90 minutes. Single mobs are total faceroll, two requires some form of heals, three means it's time to retreat unless one of them is almost dead. Of course Pagos has those void dragons which will wreck you if you wake them up.
My only real problem with this is, unless I'm just kinda bad, it really doesn't apply to the highest level mobs in the zone, which often means the top handful of NMs are a bit out of reach for the solo player, which is a bit unfortunate.

Pagos also has literally the worst zone design of anything in the game. I actually have been enjoying Eureka, but honestly, who thought it was a good idea to make a map where:
    • Flight is unavailable.
    • Death will cause you to lose XP, and possibly entire levels.
    • Falling damage can reduce you to one hitpoint.
    • Short of detouring around the entire dang map, the only effective way to get around is to leap off of cliffs and possibly into a mob of enemies. Or a void dragon. (Either will be a bad day.)

I mean, in my opinion the first three points only become a problem once combined with the fourth, but once they are MAN is that combination obnoxious...

Pyros isn't that much better. A lot of separated rooms connected by narrow corridors filled with mobs. Navigation that zone on a low-level char was a nightmare unless you had someone with 2/4-seater mount taxiing you around.
