Okay so I was able to stop the 6d message by telling Razer Synapse 2.0 to not automatically switch to my FFXIV profile for my keyboard and mouse. This then caused a new message to appear "Unable to complete Version Check [####][####][###]" which was then fixed by launching as Admin.
