Well on that note and just a speculation

We know that Hydaelyn sundered Zodiark, but was she herself sundered in the process? If she is not and/or became the will of the planet her "distress beacon"/or saying "Hear, Feel Think" is just something all can hear since she became the will in essence.

Another thought is again, speculation. As we got closer to being close to our original self (as we besides the Ascians) have the most complete version it may be possible the less "in tune" we are with her - where others may see it as a distress beacon of the planet we call Hydaelyn.

The distress signal may have been always there so that darkness could not be defeated so soundly and at least had a means to be held in check.

Did they though? I always came off with the impression it was rather one sided. I know people love that throwaway line "My quarters, one hour" but other than her proclaiming her love, was there really anything else?

I keep forgetting that when an Ascian possess a body they gain that person's memories. Since Elidibus was in Zenos' body for a while then he must know about the dreams he's been having. Not really sure if that will play a role in anything, but maybe its one of the reason why he told Zenos about everything and left. He knew who Zenos soul belong to?

Depending on how all these shenanigans play out, and whether Zodiark's "heart" was sundered, and thus the original Elidibus's soul was also fragmented in the process... I can think of an interesting possibility of whose it could be. If the Resonance disguises his original soul's identity by being superimposed over it, that could be why no one (else) has picked up on it. My guess is that Elidibus has assigned "Asahi" to guide Zenos so that the Source is primed for a Rejoining when it's ready to happen since I doubt he's genuinely going to leave all that to chance.

Apparently some Vii are old enough to remember the Ronkan Empire when it was at its glory days. That's...rather impressive and tells you just how long they live.

There has been some hints in other FF games involving Viera race that they can live over 1000 years and maybe beyond 2000 years but this discussion of how long a Viera lifespan has always been a bit of a mystery because of the "don't as a girl her age" meme.

This will make the Veria race the longest living in any FF game despite their culture affecting their population to a smaller amount for culture expectations reasons.

Yep, I agree that that may be the case, too.

...especially with the recent name-drop that came in this patch. It's just hard to imagine that Elidibus would genuinely leave the situation on the Source to Zenos's whims, though, and this "Asahi" looks like someone he briefed for the job... but with that said, he could have other plans ready to unfold for that, and it may be some other hand guiding Zenos.
