It turns out ALL the WhM weapons have Piety this patch.

The Tome cane, Crafted cane, Savage Cane and Ruby Weapon Cane are all Piety. Not only that, Piety is the larger of the two stats in all cases.

I almost wonder if it's an intentional small nerf to WhM dps. Piety is a 100% dead stat for WhM in anything besides Savage progression and Ultimate. It does nothing unless the content demands you push your healing to the limit.

Maybe AST would use it since they can have MP trouble in Nocturnal sect, but I don't think there is any situation where it is necessary.

AST has MP trouble regardless of Sect, tbh. So Piety can actually work favorably for them to an extent.

Yep, Noct AST and PF Scholars tend to meld a bit of piety.

WHM on the other hand functions at every level of piety to the point Thin Air is just for decorative purposes at this point.

That's not 100% true tho. Every healer as a SpS softcap they want to reach aka a certain GCD to make their DoT align smoothly. It's more important on SCH, but a certain amount of SpS on WHM is still comfy and definetly not wasted at all.

I'm sorry but no. Piety is far far far from a dead stat in regards to progging savages and TEA. Its a prog stat. Piety falls off later into the tier when people are going for BiS but I can say with confidence that if i didnt have my 2400 piety on AST these new savages would be much harder to manage.
