Continued forum presents, if the Devs don't see anything, they don't know of anything from the community.
With what was said in the picture, it's reason to ban any repeat use of any skills with no exceptions. Someone could decide they don't like a player in a instance and use this to abuse the system to get them temporary banned, aka suspended.

Or they look at this thread and be like "hah, it doesn't tell the full story and they've spent nearly 30 pages arguing about something they don't know all of the facts about."

I know this thread is all memey now, but hasn't this always been the case? I thought that's why they got rid of a dragoon spell in the past, because people were abusing it on a large scale to cause annoyance?

No. Ring of thorns was removed to streamline the AOEs classes could deliver, not because it was annoying. Wide Volley, Flaming Arrow, Shadowflare (for SCH) were removed

I'm accepting of holy spam, because it looks beautiful and makes a nice sound.

If you don't like it just disable effects and mute sounds that aren't coming from 'yourself' in the settings. Would be pretty logic to do that, wouldn't it?

Not an adequate solution, no. Some people, myself included, like seeing/hearing those effects... when they're actually being properly used in combat. Not just being uselessly spammed dozens of times in the middle of the city square for no material effect.

pretty light show I mean if you don't want to see it don't sit there and watch it its your own fault if your being "spammed by a spell effect"


Sadly its not the game the majority of todays gamers are nothing but little crybabys over everything and to make things worse the spineless staff on games any more just suck it up and say well this person was a crybaby and complained we have no choice but to ban.
Really, I don't blame the game when the real problem is todays gamers are basically babies like they haven't been in high school or something and deal with real issues instead of fantasy world ones.

Think the GM's need to be educated on the difference between spamming chat logs and abilities. Though I agree spamming Holy the brightest and loudest spell IS annoying, it's not on the same page of the ToS of spamming. Probably would of given a warning instead of a account penalty.
