Well one could assume its for when your making something for someone nearby to teach them how to do it or what they are making for them honestly is all I can come up with reason wise.

HOLY doesn't appear in the chat log if you use default settings.
So unless there was a Macro, or he was doing it just to be annoying and was asked to stop...
I doubt it's simply he was using Holy and got reported for using Holy.
No sympathy. You tried on reddit and failed, so you wanna get people to make you feel better trying to be as annoying as possible?
It should've been a ban instead of a suspension.

I'm wondering if maybe we need to get rid of warnings and suspensions, do one thing wrong, permanently banned. And yes, I would retroactively apply it, meaning that 10 day forum suspension I got about 4 years ago, will automatically be escalated to a permanent ban. And apply it to both forums and the game. I wonder if that would stop trolls knowing that one false move and they're gone for good? And by retroactively applying it, you're setting examples that it will happen.
Do people think that would change anything, as brutal as it is? I'm on the fence about this idea, but I would like to court feedback (respectfully) to see if people think this would change anything.
White Mage ~ Sage ~ AstrologianBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.
I feel no sympathy. The only reason to stand around spamming holy in a town would be to annoy people with it. Being able to blacklist someone doesn't mean they shouldn't get a suspension for spamming you in whispers, turning off spell effects doesn't mean someone spamming like this to be annoying shouldn't be punished. Doing it once or twice is one thing, spamming is another.

honestly yes it does mean exacly that the system is for that very reason if you dont like x person you black list em and turn off spells ... so honestly yes it does mean they shouldn't get punished use the damn system if you dont want a person saying something to you black list itI feel no sympathy. I disagree. Trolling behavior shouldn't be unpunishable just because people can go out of their way to turn off spell effects. Also you can't turn off spell effects on a per person basis. IE you can't just mute the troll specifically's spell effects. Nor does black listing turn of sound effects, and you may not want to turn off ALL sound effects just to deal with one guy. Even if it does, harassment and trolling should not be tolerated just because there are tools to avoid it. This temp ban was 100% deserved and it was only a 3 day suspension it's not like his account was deleted. The existance of tools to black list people does not justify trolling behavior and you cannot defend this behavior as anything but a deliberate attempt to annoy people.honestly yes it does mean exacly that the system is for that very reason if you dont like x person you black list em and turn off spells ... so honestly yes it does mean they shouldn't get punished use the damn system if you dont want a person saying something to you black list it
I never pay enough attention to my chat log to notice these things. Huh. TIL.
