When will we get advanced UI placements?

It's incredibly frustrating, the housing decor placement system in FFXIV. In Wildstar, you rarely ran into issues such as "Sorry, you can't place the stairs the way you want without glitching the crap out of it" you were just able to place the item, wherever whatever direction. Why does the placement in FFXIV Housing have to be so backwards compared to other MMO's?

Currently, I'm trying to place a Troup Stage without using the window glitch- Yes, it's sad you have to glitch items just to get a look you want- but due to the wonky camera angles and uncertainly of glitch/ item placing, I've all but decided to scrap such a beautiful house design. On top of that, every item has a height limit until it will actually afloat. Like beds for instance. You have to float beds ridiculously high just to get them to stay in the air.

The UI placement system is way overdue an overhaul. You should be allowed to place all items how you want, wherever you want without having to jump through so many hoops.

Why not use the new loft item? You don't need the glitch and you can literally put them anywhere on the wall, high or low.

I won't be coming back to FFXIV's forums. The forum vibe is way too venomous and brings out the worst in me. I don't like who I am on the forums, so it's best to distance myself.

Unfortunately with the loft, you still have to glitch items like beds onto them because of the developers’ program/coding for housing items.

In this case the loft would probably be a much easier solution, but I agree we should have better placement options/ui elements. The glitches are a frustration and they work because the system already saves the coordinates. Just let us set the coordinates manually already and/or create advanced ui elements to manually push furniture in X, Y, Z directions. If there's worry about people placing things way outside the boundaries of the walls, it should be easy enough to check the coordinate numbers against the boundaries of the house box size within the instance and produce an error while denying placement if it would place the object too far out of bounds (would still like some clipping into the walls/floors/ceiling).

That would be very nice yes! I don't bother with lofts much anymore because the glitching to get stuff onto the wall mounted ones is aggravating, and glitching the troupe stages is equally aggravating.

Rift online imo had the ultimate best housing UI. (not referring to rest of the game, just dimensions (housing)

I could build...anything,the dimension space was GIGANTIC!! and literally ANYTHING was possible. Anything I could dream, was possible.

It is the #1 best UI to mimic!! I let SE know this about 45 million times so far but (lol) to no avail.

Dimensions in Rift were true creations..not this plop and drop design here with extreme limitations
They were STUNNING and the only game that satisfied my creative cravings.

I miss them so much!! FFXIV could have had the #1 design but has fallen really short in the UI / PLAYER creative aspect.

As much as I'd love some proper ui controls to move things along any axis, I'd settle for SE just letting us put anything we want on lofts. Then at least we'd have much more freedom to build as we please without needing to glitch as much as we currently do to make our houses the way we really want to.

I have to wonder what made them think a loft that only takes tabletop items makes any sense. It's not a table. A loft is basically a floor and anything that can normally go on the floor should be attachable to it.

I agree, I'd certainly settle with being able to place anything on lofts & stages
