So... Are Egi glamour's dead?

Is has been a very long time since we have heard anything on this subject. At this point it honestly just feels like they system is dead and SE just doesn't want to admit it.

Please SE give us something. If the idea is dead just say so so we don't keep hoping in vain. If there is something causing the massive delay and just say so.

For crying out loud you took the time to program working umbrellas. Why can't we get more egis?

ya I been avoiding summoner for the basic reason no levithan not even a glam so it has little point for me to play.

Rather than egi glams, I think they're planning on doing more with the trances. Bahamut and Phoenix are a thing now.

Probably at this point. I wish they'd add a proper UI for the glams that currently exist at the very least though. They could at least do that much even if they don't intend to add more glam options.

I mean even in ff7 or 10 I rarely use Bahamut his way over-rated and phoenix is just kind of a meha. the job seems to be missing alot of its meat plus I'm going to be honest not mean okay but the FFXIV team either has no idea how to make a pet job correctly or they just want to make it horriblely. Many other mmos have near perfect pet jobs like dark age of camelots necromancers or wows warlocks/unholy death knights even everquest necromancers worked great along with Elementalist that summoned elemental golems.

I suspect they're mulling over ditching egi altogether and fully committing to the trance+demi route.

If they do shift over to the burst of Inferno Trance plus Demi-Ifrit model, instead of the current Ifrit-egi floating about model, then any egi-glams they've made up to that point will need changing over too to avoid a lot of complaints.

Save themselves a lot of work by just holding off on it.

I'd still love to see a Ravana-egi and Demi-Alexander, but it doesn't seem likely at this point. Or even just more Carbuncle colors.

I was really looking forward to a Ramuh and Levi-Egi. Don't get me wrong, I am of the mind that egi's should go away and we should just focus on trance dancing with different routes proccing off of DWT so you can mix up your primals based on what you are trying to accomplish. That may be to grand an idea, but regardless, I think the trances are a smarter way to go as they seem to have no idea how to make the actual pets function properly. I'd love a Waring Triad Trance or Demi-Alexander as well.

I just wish they would say something either way. This is the number one complaint I have about the way the dev team, mostly Yoshi P since he is the figure head of the team, is that they like to keep us in the dark about so many things... I'm looking at you healers... It's funny how in an age of communication we tend to get little or no communication about things.

This is pretty much my take on it. Feel like SMN is gonna get a huge rework next Expac that aims to do away with Egi as they currently are or at least change things up enough so that making new Egi models and releasing then right now would just be a waste.
