I'm taking Lore way too seriously. And I'm not sorry about that.
1300 ping on one of the servers on Square's side. Please take a look at what's going on there, it's really bad to play atm.
Yeah... seems to be the exact same route as in the german thread... and the solutions are:A big package of traces and stuff from Germany, collected over months, to provide some data.

The problem has been ongoing for 8 months for the affected people, and nothing has been done to fix it.
Weeks?
More like half a year+.
I have these issues since the ShB prepatch and at times the lags are so severe that I can't do anything but log out. I quit raiding over this because raiding savage with an unreliable server infrastructure (compared to WoWs FF-XIVs always felt laggy and unresponsive but not to this extent) is not fun. Neither for me, nor for my group. Traces are linked in the German thread.
While I agree that this problem has been around for years its gotten a lot worse since 7/8 weeks ago. And I wanted to focus on that since it seems SE is completely silent on this again.
When I said years thats not even a joke, way back with patch 4.15 (released 21-11-2017) we had the same problem, and it took months before this issue went away.
And just like now SE was completely silent on the problem. I wish I saved all those traces from back then because you could see the exact same pattern in package loss.
Even in "good" times I still have lag spikes that my entire static team is experiencing at the same time, so this really isn't a connection problem from my side.
Just did a trace while I was typing this and you can see there is no change at all, and it almost always follows this pattern.
I looked at what happend during this and when package loss happens at 13/14 it also affects the final IP address with package loss.
Again I understand that this is more than likely a routing problem and that it will take time to fix, but a response that they are looking into it would be nice. Even if its ouside their servers they must have a technical staff monitoring the network and take a look at routing problems so that they can take any possible action?
Aye, pattern is very clear same.because you could see the exact same pattern in package loss.
welp.. everything was going fine for me, until 5.2 hit, and now i just can't play ... Getting some lag all day and during peak hours it's just freeze upon freeze... juste unplayable.
and just as everyone telia seems to be the problem.

Seems this isn't just a EU to EU server problem, I play on Aether from the UK and since 5.2 have noticed a lot of weird lag that never really happened before. Using the programs you guys have been using show that I have over 90% packet loss in 2 areas and then 20% near the end which is kinda insane and I can only assume is the cause of my new issues.
While I understand you might have problems this isn't related to the EU problem that many people have right now.
I do want to share my thoughts on this and I it doesn't seem a problem with package loss.
Package loss is most important in the first and final address and you have 0% on both so thats good, the package loss during the route is probably because you don't get a response from them.
did a trace for you and I'm from the Netherlands, maybe your problem is already gone by now?
