    I vote no.

What's good about Fields of Valor is that they don't have timers. Different pages have completely different strategy and gameplay. FoV gives cookies and most importantly FoV doesn't pretend to take place of quests that have interesting story and cutscenes unlike leves.

We do not need more leves as the current ones are all basically copies of each other anyway. We need REAL unrepeatable content.

I've played with a friend after the first week for at least a month and indeed it was more entertaining at first, but again, it didn't last. Even when we started helping others with their leves and got a LS the game experience didn't change. It's remarkable because even people who were doing leves for the first time seemed unimpressed with them.

At least grinding forces you to continuously enhance the party performance, find new grinding spots... so guildleves are just grinding in an even more artificial, repetitive manner, as they force you to run around a lot too, other than indulging in the usual mob genocide.

to say it short, the guildlevel quest is boring, with group then it will be less boring, the only thing good come out of doing it is money, item and craft can get sp w/o spend shard and mats.

Yeah the LQ system is boring.

Why cant we get a bunch of quests we can do solo for SP? Why do I constantly have to find a group to do anything. I hate logging into this game, not being able to find the people I need, then logging off having done nothing but waste time.

Thats what needs to be fixed.

The sooner guildleves can be considered "content", the sooner FFXIV will eliminate grind from the equation.

Maybe if they focussed less on quest hubs, and more on the importance of an interesting progression system, they could finally make a fun game.

Guildleves need to just have more variety. Something like the Assaults or Nyzul Isle of Aht Urhgan in FFXI.
    AMEN.

I have been saying that for a while now... They managed to come up with some really creative and interesting - dare I say it: fun - scenarios for Assault in XI. I was honestly under the impression that's what leves were going to be like.

Instead we get... basically what the OP describes.

What makes it worse is that it's the game's primary source of content with not a whole lot else on offer (yet).

Look at it this way, be happy there are Leves. If there wasn't then everyone would be complaining about the dreaded Coblyns/Doblyns grind even more.

PS: Behest are boring as hell too. But SP is SP.
Well, in fairness, there were other places to level. Plenty of people got to 75 before Aht Urghan came out. People weren't *forced* to level on Colibris. They chose to level on them because they were the fastest/most efficient xp/hr - which is all many players seem to care about; "getting to level cap as quickly and easily as possible".

That also manifests in how players screw themselves over by leveling to 75 while sync'd down to 20, and then are left with 20, 30 or more levels worth of skillups to get by grinding away for hours more in Boyadha, etc. Basically giving themselves twice the work they'd have if they leveled up on mobs more within their level range, or at least didn't sync down that far. But, the xp/hr is all they cared about - even at the expense of not getting skillups. And so they give themselves more - arguably even more tedious - work to achieve the same end result.

Of course, the players blame SE for that, too. "SE forces us to have to grind for hours to get our skillups". No, the players force themselves to have to do that, through their own poor choices. SE has provided a perfectly good way - which was there for years before sync was even introduced - to level both your job level and your skill levels. Players have their own tunnel-vision and obsession with "maximum xp/hr at all cost" to thank for it.

So, that wasn't a failing on SE's part, but on the players' part.

I argued that forever and was always told "Nope. SE's fault for making Colibri's the fastest xp". My response: "Nope, players' fault for obsessing over xp/hr at the expense of variety or even leveling in a preferred area".

Of course, as I've noticed when I bring that point up, there's a lot of players who don't like having the truth pointed out to them and become rather hostile.. Won't be surprised if I get the same response from some here.

As the saying goes, you can lead a horse to water...

They're boring. If you play alone.
They're exciting and awesome. If you play with cool people.
They're challenging. If you select higher difficulties.
They're a bucket of Experience. If you play with cool people giving Bacon Bonus (Leve-Link).

You have to play Guildleves how you want to. There are players out there that don't have enough time to dedicate to the game and just want to chill out. Guildleves are awesome for that, because they can have their content and fun in little time.

As my POV, I really enjoy Guildleves if I play with a party of 3+ players. We can higher the difficulty and plan cool strategies, giving Bacon Bonus if we can and do cool Leeroy things if we feel like =D

I find guildleves boring simply because I've done them a million times already.
A FoV system would be nice but to be honest we have behest for that.
