There's a line between saying "I'd like the choice not to see this" and "I don't want you to have the option to do this". I don't support their point of views, but I cannot fault them for having preferences.
The issue is that it is how it looks because again, the "pro" view point is being supported by those you seem to not want to be grouped with.
The limitations on how you're allowed to express yourself are defined by what you can glamour, if the devs thought gender non-conforming glamours are that big of an issue they just wouldn't invest the time to create/enable them in the first place.

At the end of the day tolerance as far as glamours go is accepting that everyone gets to define their look within the aforementioned limitations of "what the devs have allowed", everyone currently has equality of choice.
What is being requested is something that, in effect, supports the intolerance of other peoples choices.

The person said they don't know an MMO that allow censor, so I gave them one, regardless of purpose. And idk, GW2 PvP is still light years ahead of this game, neglected as it is.

The fact they're available means nothing other than they wish to provide choice. It took a dang long time for the whole "bunny suit" thing to clear because the devs didn't like it, but they acquiesced because the demand was there (though i gotta admit I don't really see anyone using the male version).

It supports the option to customize your own experience. The idea that it will ONLY be used to suppress certain things like guys in dresses or what have you is a limited mindset. It will be useful for many who just wish to standardize the world they're living in in their mind, even if that standardization just means "I don't want to see anyone but myself as unique". Tolerance in general is accepting that others will have differing views from your own and you shouldn't try to make them change. The media we're utilizing allows a user to customize their experience at no perceivable cost to any other player and it's boggling my mind that people have a problem with someone trying to customize their personal experience and then calling it oppressive.

Lol, you calling someone narcissistic is rich. Let's be real here. Your side doesn't want people to have the OP's option to 'shield their eyes', because you want to be the center of attention. Is there anything more narcissistic and sad than prancing around in a ridiculous outfit screaming 'look at me', 'look at me.' I've seen people in the thread admit this. They can't bear the thought of not being the center of someone's focus.
Really, you dropped the N word. Stretching it a bit just cause people like others to like them? Just cause if someone wants to be seen a certain way does not mean they are a damn narcissist. Like wow man. Have you ever read the entire definition of that word. I had someone yesterday saying my character was super cute. Yeah, I felt good. I was like thanks. So since I created something and someone liked it therefor made me happy. I am a narcissist. You are really scraping the bottom of the barrel to argue that. Really sad, stop acting so self righteous, like you NEVER felt good from someone complementing you for something you have done or were able to do/the way you looked.

    Actually, no you didn't.

The function of the GW2 option isn't a censor, it does not exist because people find certain glamours objectionable.
It is a PvP tool to assist with the quick identification of enemy combatants to make PvP easier through standardisation of visual identities. If anything, it being the only example you can pull out detracts from your point more than it supports it.

    Y'all are a riot. I been "bikini"-glam for 5 years.

But you know what, I'm fine with an option that turns ALL GLAMOURS OFF if that's what ppl want.

However, being able to selectively "target" ppl that you don't approve of and change only their appearance to something that suits your tastes is a bit too dystopian for me.

All or nothing, no glams for them, no glams for you. It can be a menu option. And if I had my druthers, if you opt-in to turn the option on then you can't elect to switch it off again for a long period of time... say 45 days.

I whole heartedly support this idea. The ability to hide someones glamour would not affect them, They would never know. I am entirely tired of seeing skimpy glams on 99% of the Miqo/Viera population. I would 100% support an option to make everyone a 'default' for their race. Allow the racial variance in style, but just put them in their races starter gear.

Vindictus did something similar by allowing you to make it so everyone appears in robes instead of all their gear.

I meant the game itself, not the PvP mode. And both are kind of lacking, honestly.

Also this is an excellent and more detailed version of what I was trying to say:

It seems like this is another thing about intention. It looks like this is deferring loading the characters appearances and just loading a standard model which gets replaced as things are loaded in, with a toggle that lets you defer until you start a mission?

That's not really a censor, it's a feature to make the game load faster.
