Play Music in game is just slider from 0 to 100 ( it's logical to tune up or down volume, because everyone on pc or ps4/tv has different ) Your point is silly
Profanity is socially offensive language, and in real life ( not in your home ) you can get penalty by police officer. In game abusing /say with rude words can be reported.
So it's logical for me to have profanity filter in games or chats.
Comparing the option to hide other people's glamours to actual real life segregation is beyond absurd. Hiding somebody's pixels on a video game where you quite literally don't even OWN those pixels is in absolutely no way like actual physical discrimination and threat of real life physical harm. Hiding your glamours doesn't threaten you, it doesn't violate your civil rights, and it in no way prevents you from wearing whatever tf you want.
I don't even disagree with the people uncomfortable being portrayed a way they don't want to, I think that's a valid argument, but to make arguments like this one is ridiculous and does absolutely no one any favors.

Holy cow this topic has gone down a stupid rabbit hole. Just because some of are tired of the slutty glamours some many people is ( and yes they are slutty stop trying to fool yourself) doesn't mean we are trying to control how you play the game. We would just like to walk through town without feeling like we are in a brothel.
Supposedly you are against diversity if you dislike people wearing outfits like thatHoly cow this topic has gone down a stupid rabbit hole. Yes, if you want to walk the prejudice route. I am prejudiced against seeing people in animal suits in my serious, story mode cutscene.
Seriously though, I grant that we would actually be trying to restrict your choice if your glamour was forcibly changed on YOUR screen. However, with the change, the only screen where glamour would be changed is MINE, and you would NOT be notified about it. That means those who advocate for this measure are PRO choice, whereas those who want to stop it are ANTI choice. Stop comparing it to RL because it's not. Despite how much you wish it to be so, you are NOT the Au'ra or Mi'qote supermodel on your screen. Throwing around the word prejudice in this situation is a complete cop out and a surrender of the argument.

Absolutely not op! How dare you suggest a client side option that wont effect me or even notice you have that option on, what are you... homophobic? I want to show my Hrothgar bits all over eorzea and I want you to see it! My glam choices are so important and inspirational that everyone HAS to see it or you're making a political statement against X!!!! This idea is bad and you should feel bad!gcbtw
52 pages of this... holy cow, we need the patch to drop already.
On topic: I wouldn't see an issue with this kind of option being implemented, because it's just that: an option. If development costs and resources could be spared without harming the rest of the game, of course.
Don't you all find it absolutely lovely how OP just threw the bait and disappeared and the thread still went on for 52 pages? Most successful trolling ever.
Since everyone is so fond of dragging the real world into this let me frame it this way: you get up and dress in an outfit you think is nice and go out into public. You're going to be viewed by others in several different ways. Some people are going to think your outfit is nice, some are going to think it's inappropriate or slutty, others are going to act like you don't exist and go about their business and more than likely there are some that are going to imagine you nude. Their perceptions are altering your appearance in their minds. Does that upset you too? You don't know who's thinking what thoughts so you continue to dress in the manner that makes you happy. If you're able to accept the fact that, in reality, others aren't seeing you the way you see yourself, "the way you want to be seen", then why is it so hard to accept it in a video game?If you're honestly saying that then firstly you are not listening to what I want (for my character to not be altered by others) but more importantly you are misrepresenting the rest of what I have said.
I have never "tried to dictate what others find appealing". Acceptance that people in a shared-world game (or reality for that matter) will wear things you don't like is not the same thing as being forced to like it.
I don't like seeing people in novelty animal outfits either. The proportions on the 2B dresses creep me out. I could pick and choose and make a list of things that bother me.
But it's there, and someone else wants to wear it - so their appearance is none of my business. And mine should be none of theirs.
You want to say that the way you choose to dress in the game is no-one else's business, right? How I choose to view things is also no-one else's business.
