Wait, SE banned this guy because of a portrait. Surely you guys are against this, right? He was just expressing himself using 'clothes' and emotes already in the game. You can just turn your head away and not look at it right?

I’ve heard of gm’s teleporting people to gm jail over inappropriate names, having a chat with them, changing their name and then releasing them. All this without a ban. I don’t get why this guy was not given the same treatment if he was truly banned over this.

Chances are they've done it before and were warned exactly like that and thus they did...well that and thought it was "toned down".

Yes, "I was banned for X" usually doesn't mean someone was actually banned for only this. Especially when they even go so far as opening a thread in the forum or on reddit to show it everywhere and get confirmation for their point of view. I suppose there is a reason why this user doesn't show an image of the whole adventurer plate... And considering how many people tried to stretch the ToS boundaries for trolling purposes, it is fairly safe to say that this portrait of a naked lala was not an accident. (From what I heard from another case you are just asked to reset it and make something else the first time, like with a ToS-violating username.)

It's at the GMs discretion of how you treat them, how you act and how they're feeling that day. For any of those they could give a ban, but feel like they don't want to. I had a friend who got a 13 day ban for an inapropriate name, but others will get asked to change it and a free name change.
It's how it goes with these situations. Not every situation is enforced the same, nor should it, GMs are given wiggle room to interpret as they see fit.

PLEASE LET US HIDE THE FORUM TROLLS.....*sigh* or we collect money pay them the sub for another game and forum, so they leave us alone or we hire a mod for the forum of FF14 because SE gives not a flying Kupo-Nut about anything besides NFT's and Microtransactions (BTW these are not micro they most of the time for the price of a damn game).

Bother ? I dont know if thats the right word, its more like as if i have a unwashed coffee cup in the sink. Does not look good but "who cares?". Besides these forums need moderation, it is not about bother or being "soft" more like keeping the place in order (kind of....). ANNNdd my post was more on the "funny" side or i tried...
