I'm pretty sure that's the point. While not directly stated by them in any way, recent changes lead me to believe that Square Enix does not wish for crafters to rely on macros for their rotations.
I think macros are fine for less difficult things and for mats and the like. But for final products that actually sell for a lot of gil? Yes, it should require actual participation.
It will certainly kill every macro I currently run including the ones I use for my 6k+ difficulty lvl80 2-star crafts. Will need to go back to the drawing board. Though I'll probably focus on my FSH first due to the Ocean Fishing and the Gathering beast tribe. Hopefully, by the time i'm ready teamcraft will have their page updated so I can use the rotation builder to test some stuff out.
Hopefully, this is not the case and they still let us macro or i'm probably going to consider stopping crafting completely. I don't like to think while crafting. I'll pop an audio book on and spam my macros while listening to it. It's relaxing. Remove that and no point for me anymore.

I wouldn't cry the blues just yet.... if you read just a bit after the part where they say ingenuity is being removed the notes also say:It will certainly kill every macro I currently run including the ones I use for my 6k+ difficulty lvl80 2-star crafts. andIt is now easier to increase progress and quality for recipes higher than your current level.
Which implies that Ingenuity might be removed because its no longer necessary due to those nerfs. It's quite possible the above changes mean all crafting is like having ingenuity permanently active with no CP cost. We'll have to wait and see it live to know for certain.Due to changes to the crafting system, the required progress and maximum quality of certain recipes have been reduced.
"After completing the quest "???," speak to Lewrey in Amh Araeng (X:26.8 Y:16.4) as a level 80 Disciple of War or Magic." Is the requirement for unlocking Savage. The confusion seems to be that the last quest in the Eden's Verse storyline contains the conditions: "Players must first complete the main scenario quest "???" and the Chronicles of a New Era quest "???""
Unlocking Eden's Gate Savage required completing the last available quest in 5.05 "The Next Piece of the Puzzle" so I can see where there's concern that the same ??? quest to unlock Savage this time will be the one with the MSQ requirement.
But since it's all a bunch of ???s, I guess we'll have to wait and see on release or maybe Yoshi will clear up the concern when he reads the patch notes.
expert is now a 1 dungeon "roulette" *sigh*
Pretty sure that:
The Grand Cosmos
Anamnesis Anyder
when counted equals to 2
Fair enough, the formatting for SE's patch notes isn't the greatest.

It is a shame Relic and Ishgard restoration is in future patches. Relic would have given us more stuff to do and sustain some players for Relic (players that rush to complete content)
Glad for all the other stuff though, new ex fight and Beast Tribe.
Never have i loved Fishing but may level it more now and perhaps try that Ocean Fishing
